  We had a wonderful vacation. The house was great so was the pool! Coastal Joe was wonderful. We had one rainy moring & decided to watch a DVD. Apparently the DVD player had died so we called Coastal Joe & they had a DVD player & let us borrow. They were so friendly & pleasant to deal with. Weather was beautiful except for that one day. The beach was also beautiful. We also enjoyed the awesome sunsets that Cape San Blas has. This is a wonderful place to relax & spend time with family & friends! We will be back!!!!

  The Cape was fantastic, I think we have found our new place to vacation. We had an accident with our daughter while there and the rental agency not only gave us directions to a wonderful hospital but even called back to check on her and asked about her when were leaving also the owner stopped by to check on her as well. The house was nice only two complaints one we kept stepping on glass in and around the kitchen and two it had a moldy smell which we just masked with glade plug ins. The pool was awesome and everyone we met was super friendly

  This is our third year in a row to stay at Pineapple Plantation. This house is great for me, my husband and our dog. It's a very short walk to the beach, and the pool is fantastic for relaxing. The owner, Bill, is great to work with and he and his wife have gone out of their way to make their home seem like your own during your stay. Highly recommend PP!!

  Pineapple Plantation had everything our extended family of 10 needed! The house was spacious and nicely furnished. No granite counters or ornate furnishings (and the upstairs carpeting is beginning to show its wear) but didn't need all that or miss it one bit. The house was just great! There were just a few minor glitches when we checked in on Saturday - the pool had not been cleaned and a closet door had come off its tracks, but a quick call to the management company took care of everything! I don't think you could find a better beach house with all the amneties so close to the beach for such a great price anywhere. It was literally just a few quick steps to the beach, and just a half a block to the Trading Post which the kids visited every day for pizza and subs for lunch. We absolutely loved the Indian Pass Raw Bar (gotta eat at least one meal there) and Jo Mamma's Pizza in Port St. Joe - excellent! The men booked a fishing trip with Southern Tide and Captain Roger Thomas knew how to find the fish. Nothing better than fresh from the gulf seafood! We definitely miss the layed back atmosphere, uncroweded beaches,shelling, friendly people, bonfires on the beach and endless stars at night. Wonderful vacation! We will be back!!

  Pineapple Plantation is a great family home. It is lage enough so you don't run into each other and small enough to be cozy. The pool is great for the kids when they wanted to get away from the sand and salt water. There is a box of beach paraphanalia that helped too. It had chairs, toys, umbrella and rafts to use during the visit. Especially great for us as we had a small car and could not bring chairs and such. Probably the best part is the owner, Bill. He was helpful and kind and came to spruce up the pool area while we were there. He also allows pets! Our dogs love the Cape! We would never come without them. This house is on a nice street where walking dogs is easy.
  The sunsets are fabulous.
  We ate on the screened porch each night and watched the sunsets . But for the best view the top master bedroom balcony is best!
  Even though this house is not directly on the beach it is a quick and easy walk. Sandles are a must until you get to the sand.
  We hope to come back to Pineapple Plantation for another vacation in the future!

  The house was very bright and clean. It had everything we needed for a great stay except a toaster. It is located close to the Trading Post and the BP Station. Beach view from the house was not as good as we hoped but it is a very short walk to a beautiful beach. Although not a beach front house you could not find a house this nice beach front any where near the price we paid. An excellent value.

  what a relaxing place, not sure why people don't visit the beach during the off season - although we had some cold days, the temps during our stay in Feb were in the 65-70 range. Beautiful sunsets, awesome seafood. Our first time to Cape San Blas and the dogs loved it. when we arrived at Pineapple Plantation, we noticed there wasn't a coffee maker - so I called the office and an hour later, we had a new one brought to us. the house was very clean and we grilled out twice, love the screened in porch. We had to work a little and the Internet connection was great. Our dogs say - we wanna come back and stay at Pineapple Plantation!

  We went to Cape San Blas to relax, and Pineapple Plantation had all the comforts of home. We were only a minute walk from the beach and the Cape trading mart was a short walk away. There were plenty of board games and a good selection of books. The wireless internet worked great! The only little thing that we lacked was a good skillet (nonstick) for cooking eggs. We did find a little one that worked pretty good. They had plenty of pots for shrimp boil, and really everything you needed in the kitchen. The weather was cool enough that we did not need the air, and we could fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. The pool was nice and clean. They even had a wagon so you could haul your stuff down to the beach, plus chairs for you to take down too. The decor was real nice, plenty of closet space. A great place to stay, and we would definitely rent again. Thanks!!!!

  We stayed at Pineapple Plantation over Labor Day weekend 2011. We had the bad luck of staying during a tropical storm. Lee hit the area west of Pineapple and had some impact on our weather & beaches. BUT! we had a great time. There were breaks in the weather
  each day and we spent hours on the beach daily. It was not planned, but was a very interesting experience. We were able to see and enjoy the changing weather and its impacts. Shelling was terrific. The house and pool made our stay. We were so comfortable inside
  and enjoyed the home completely. During "iffy" weather we stayed by the pool and could dash inside quickly. The pool was relaxing and a really nice extra. We had everything we needed in the house, including wireless internet. That made passing the time during
  really bad weather much less of an inconvenience. We traveled with 3 dogs and the home and beach were terrific for them. The rental team at Coastal Joe was great and helped us professionally. The process was simple and accommodating. We love Cape San Blas
  and Pineapple Plantation is a great place to call home while there!

  The house was in good shape overall but the carpet upstairs needs to be replaced. There were several stains all over the carpet. The hardwoods downstairs were nice but the main story bedroom is missing molding. There was a hole in the bathroom wall and a door in the kitchen. I think overall the house needs some maintenance but the location is great. We loved the beach and the kids loved the pool. The kid's bunk room was a big hit with the kids.

  Upon arriving the house could have been cleaner. There was red sauce splattered over the sink and orthodonic rubberbands on the floor throughout the house. Not a big deal but thought it could have been cleaner. The bed in the master bedroom was very soft and we could not sleep in it due to severe back aches upon waking up. We had to move into the br downstairs. Fortunatly we had this opportunity but if we had had a full house we would have had to resign to sleepless nights. We had an ice maker issue that I called about on day 2 or 3 and the call was not responded to by Coastal Joe. I'm not sure if there was a problem with the answer machine but we just ended up buying ice at the local store. Lastly, the drive way needs some gravel. We got stuck in the soft sand trying to get in and out of the drive.
  
  Overall, the house is lovely and the location is perfect. We were very happy with our stay other than these few issues but don't think we could stay again unless the bed was changed out in Master BR.

  Very close to the beach walking distance to the trading post. You can hear the surf from the bedrooms and see the Gulf from the balcony. It had the most equipped kitchen we've ever seen in a rental. The home was well stocked with games, books, TVs, beach toys and the extra beverage refrigerator on the ground floor was convenient. The pool is a nice bonus and great for volleyball. The only disappointment was how fast the week was over.

  Stayed at Pineapple Plantation the second week of October with wife,sister, and parents. Stay was very relaxing, great escape from fast pace of work. House was convienent to the beach and ocean, the swimming pool was clean and great place to sun, take your firewood and roast your marshmellows over the fire and under the stars. Kitchen was equipped with everything to prepare your own meals. Our dog, Peyton, even enjoyed the beach and spending time with his family. Only way house could be better is if it was directly on the beach but then you would not have had the pool, and the pool is a nice ammenity. would stay again in the home at Cape san Blas.

  The view was somewhat obstructed by other houses. However, the private pool was well worth the trade-off. Many hours of family fun were spent there.
  The property was clean and beautiful. The area was quiet, until at no fault to the Reids or Coastal Joe, a very rude group intent on partying took up residence nearby. It was disappointing to have Panama City Beach find us out on the Cape. It was a good lesson for the kids, however, in showing them how not to behave and how being inconsiderate affects others.
  I appreciate the Reids opening their beautiful home to us and hope to stay with them again soon.

  we had a great time. 2 summers in a row that we have used coastal joe rentals. the people are great there. will use them again next year in fact. the only problem we did have was so much dog hair and the filters in the home hadnt been changed, my granddaughters have allergies. all we had to do was go by the office and get new ones, which we replaced. np there. next time ill try to find one not petfriendly, if there is one....if not well still come back.

  This was our third trip to the Pineapple Plantation, and we will be back! We love everything about it. We have three children 8 and under, and it is perfect for them as well. The pictures really do not do this property justice. So many things are even better now. I can't imagine anyone ever coming and not being happy.

  Pineapple Plantation was wonderful. It was spacious and accommodated our large family perfectly. We enjoyed going to the beach and then swimming in the pool every day.   We loved Pineapple Plantation and the location on Cape San Blas. We would love to return next year, but would probably book our stay a little earlier as we had one quite cool weekend. Cape San Blas is still the prettiest area we have ever visited. The house was great and we had plenty of room for our family when they visited. We especially enjoyed the screened porch and outdoor shower.

  Overall it was a great stay. FYI kitchen pots and pans were very disorganized and too much stuff that didn't serve a purpose. The necessary things were lacking ie only one lobster pot. Table lamps in master bedroom did not work. Table lamp in LV was broken. We did have a good time and would rent again. The people before us did not take the garbage out early Sat AM so we did not have an empty garbage can until Wed. Maybe a reminder that garbage truck comes early on Sat and garbage can should be out? Thank you. St. Joes Park was amazing.

  Cape San Blas was wonderful and the house was perfect for us. We had everything we needed during our stay. All the extras in the house were very helpful. It was awesome.
  The landscaping needs to be trimmed and cut back from the walkways, especially near the pool. The pool was terribly warm, but I'm not sure how you could change that short of adding a covering.
  Overall, it was a great vacation and we would highly recommend it to anyone!

  The screen in porch had multiple holes and there were too many mosquitoes. There were mice roaming outside the property. There really needs to be an umbrella to sit by the pool when you are watching kids swimming. The air conditioner system in the first floor guest room was very loud.

  Thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Too bad about the new construction between the house and beach. Restricts the view somewhat. This is minor considering the other amenities of the property. We look forward to returning in the future.

  We enjoyed our stay at Plantation Pineapple. We were very thankful for the screen porch as the mosquitos were out in force. The pool was awesome and we spent a lot of time relaxing in there as the gulf was rough most of the week and the shore was eroding away. The home was great - lots of room, great bunk bed room, clean, bright and lots of amenities. Would highly recommend this home for others.
