FAMILIES AND DOG OWNERS - Three large balconies; Main floor is top floor for all day view of Gulf. This two-story home was built in 2005, first time on renters market, all new furniture, high def. flat screen TV's with DVD, leather furniture, modern kitchen. Home is dog friendly and kid friendly - socket protectors, gates, and enclosed decks. Upstairs is equipped with bamboo floor; downstairs has carpeted bedrooms. Outdoor shower to rinse off sand. Enclosed staircase - no more getting soaked in the rain. Outdoor horseshoes for family fun. Beach wagon, his and hers bikes, kids' beach chairs and sand toys. Board games and card games. New state of the art hospital in Port St. Joe. Nearby Trading Post and BP Station for gas and groceries. Playground and hiking trails at St. Joseph State Park.

FISHING & WILDLIFE VIEWING ENTHUSIASTS - Boat launch at St. Joseph State Park, one mile from home. Incredible fishing in Gulf off beach and in crystal clear grass flats behind the house. Amazing wildlife; in April 2010, we spotted a bald eagle flying low over the beach and saw a small bobcat from our top balcony. More wildlife viewing available at St. Joseph State Park and St. Vincent Island.

BEACH BUMS & SUN SEEKERS - Beach access located within walking distance of house - only 2 blocks. It offers pure white sand beaches, clear water in the bay and the Gulf, restrooms, showers, and picnic tables. Bring your picnic basket, blanket, and book!

Most areas of the Cape do not receive good cell service; our home gets very good AT&T service; our home is also equipped with high speed internet.

This place was wonderful! I loved every minute. The home was very easy to live in, great accommodations for the whole family. We loved that we could bring our dogs to the home and on the beach! It was so peaceful and the beds were so comfy; I never wanted to leave.

The vacation rental was perfect for us. The house was very clean and well maintained. It worked out well for us bringing our dog as well as we had plenty of room to set up his crate and the gates near the stairs kept him from going up and down unnecessarily. It was a quick walk to the beach and a nice view from the upper deck of the home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cape San Blas in Cape Sunset.

had wonderful views of the sunrise and acceptable views of the sunset. it was only a short walk- maybe 3 blocks, but an easy walk, beach was great. loved the neighbors. found the steps a little challenging- we are in our seventies and they were a little much. over all - a great place to go.

We had a wonderful time at Cape Sunset! The home is beautiful, very nicely decorated, and the view of the sunsets were awesome! We stayed in a home directly on the beach last year, but for a home located across Cape San Blas Blvd., we had a great view of the ocean and sunsets from the upper deck patio. The owners thought of everything to make their guests feel welcome. We walked to the beach every day, and we loved using their wagon and beach toys! Their kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking utensils you would need but do bring a butcher knife for bigger food items. Our dog, Milo, really enjoyed himself as well, and we would recommend Cape Sunset to anyone looking for a great getaway vacation! We can't wait to come back next year!!

Jeff and Michelle are wonderful people! He emailed me a long list of things to do and see. It was great information being our first time at the Cape. We visted the park which was amazing. The kids loved the Bay!!! We also did a little hiking and went out to the beach at the very end of the park. It was so neat to be the only ones on the beach for miles. House was nice. We had everything we needed. The grill was appreciated and we used it a lot! We did have a few cons... The sheets didn't fit the king bed (wouldn't stay on) and were torn. There was not a hand towel or kitchen towel in the place. We went through a lot of paper towels, which I try not to do. We also couldn't use the deck due to Palemento Bugs or Wood Cockroaches. They were everywhere including inside. Which I addressed with the leasing agent upon leaving.

All in all, nice stay. We had horrible weather, but would go back again!

The pictures of the house on the web site make it appear to be closer to the beach than it really is. I was disappointed to find it across the road but the pool and beach access through the gate was very nice. I will not get a house with bedrooms under
the living space again just because the kids make too much noise at night.

We were unable to watch the sunset from our balcony as promised. The sun goes down right behind a house. However, it was a short walk to the beach to catch the beautiful sunset. Well worth the walk

A couple of things would be helpful: broom, dustpan and dishwasher detergent and more toiletpaper. Also, the tv had a few problem turn on sometimes. Hope this doesn't sound negative. Really we loved it!

The only problem we had were with the mattresses. They were pillow top and way too soft. Also the sheets did not stay on the mattresses. By morning the sheets were off. Otherwise it is a great place. We especialy enjoyed the views of both the bay and the gulf.

I was looking for a 2 bedroom house and this one was perfect. The rate was very reasonable and the location (though not direct beachfront) was perfect and a short walk to the beach. The view was beautiful and the whole area is totally dog friendly. This house has got two baby gates at the top of each flight of steps which made it perfect for our 2 dogs. They also enjoyed the porches. We will definitely rent from Coastal Joe's again. This was a no hassel rental!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cape Sunset. It was clean and well equipped. It was one of the most restful vacations that I have enjoyed in recent years. It was secluded enough to be a getaway, but close enough to major shopping and eating establishment. I would recommend staying with Coastal Joe Vacation Rentals with high marks. This was one of the easiest rentals that I can remember.

Cape Sunset is a beautiful beach house within walking distance to the beach. My family stayed for one week to fish the bay, scallop, and enjoy the beach. The house has all the comforts of home.
