GULF VIEW HOME ON CAPE SAN BLAS

Aus-Seas Haven is a 3 bedroom home in the popular SeaGrass neighborhood. This home is back on the rental market after acquiring new owners and totally new everything!! This home has wonderful views from both floors and a great fenced in area for the dogs separate from the pool.

The bottom level of the home has a 2 car garage with plenty of storage for beach chairs, toys and pool equipment. There is also a full bath perfect for people to use that are laying out by the pool.

The next level of Aus-Seas Haven is the living area. This level has gorgeous hard wood floors and all brand new furnishings. This is a very open and spacious level with a sitting, T.V., (43" flat screen) dining and kitchen areas all open and with access to the wonderful views. The dining table will seat 8 and there are two bar stools at the bar area. The kitchen is fully equipped and also has all new appliances. There is a large laundry room and half bath on this floor as well. The decks go from the front of the home and wrap around to the area overlooking the pool. This floor also has a sleeper sofa.

The next level of the home has three bedrooms. The master has amazing views and access to the top deck. The bed is a king and there is a T.V. in this room. The bathroom is very spacious with a seperate shower/tub. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and access to the portion of the deck that overlooks the pool area. There is a T.V. in this room. The third bedroom has two twin bunkbeds as well as a T.V.

Other amenities that Aus-Seas Haven offers: outside shower, fenced in yard, free wireless internet and long distance. The walk to the beach is quite simple as you will use the neighborhood streets to get you to the boardwalk that will take you right out to the beach. This is a very kid friendly/family friendly neighborhood.

    While many things about the house were great (location, size, pool), there were a few things that detracted from those aspects. One of the biggest flaws was a fenced in yard in a pet-friendly house in which you can't let your dogs play because there are large gaps in the fence, and even if there were no gaps, it was absolutely covered in sand spurs. Both dogs that used the area to go out to the bathroom ended up with sand spurs on their feet and one of the dogs feet hurt so badly that we couldn't take him to the beach the following day. This is an issue that has been raised several times to the property owners via their visitors journal in the main living area next to the television. In addition, several of the doors do not function properly. They were hard to open and close making it a nuisance to get out on the porches. Finally, there were many stains all around the house. I understand this could be due to the visiting pets, but something really should be done about them. It is rather unwelcoming to find so many stains all around the house. With all of that said, I would still recommend the house to anyone that doesn't mind the issues that I mentioned.

    We had a great time, however there should have been some games for the cold wet days we had and some better cooking utensils (also better spatulas) the dryer took forever to dry. The location was very nice and we would recommend this home to others and consider coming again.

    Our stay in August 2012 was wonderful. We loved the seclusion. The private beach as well as the state park were beautiful. We enjoyed the private pool too. The drive to Apalachicola is worth it - great seafood at "Up the Creek Raw Bar"!! We would definitely stay here again.

    The cable TV got knocked out on Mon night, I called twice, but no one ever came by or called so it was never repaired during our week stay. When checking out, the Property Manger said Catlyn tried to call me and left me a voicemail trying to get someone out to repair it on Thursday and that the repair guy did come to the house on Thursday, I NEVER left the house on Thursday due to stomy weather and no one ever came buy. She also Said Catlyn left me a voice mail, I never had a call from the office, a missed call from anyone, or a voice mail. The home we stayed in was beautiful, however, there just wasn't enough to do when the weather was bad. We ended up leaving a day early cutting our vacation short.

    We just got back from another great week out on Cape San Blas. Sea Grass is an excellent sub division. It's safe, close to the beach, and not densely populated. We love looking north on the beach and seeing absolutely no one for a 1/2 mile.
    This house is very nice! It's nicely decorated and very functional. The kitchen is well stocked with the basic things you need - like measuring cups! The open floor plan allows the entire family the hang out together, and the views through the windows combined with all the light flooding into the house make you feel like you are outside even when you are in!
    We have stayed in several homes in Sea Grass and this one quickly became one of our favorites.
    The only real issue we had was the lack of porch furniture. The porches are amazing - if you like to stand! There were only a few cheap plastic chairs scattered on the porches and by the pool. So little that we took a trip to the Port St Joe CVS to buy a few more so we could enjoy the comfort of the porches with our morning coffee.
    Despite that, we had a great week, and I would recommend this house to familys looking for a nice clean open place to enjoy the wonderfulness that is the Cape!

    We loved having the pool so close at hand. The kitchen was very well equipped in my opinion and very efficient. The only drawback to me was that although the house could sleep 10, that no. was pushing it. It could sleep 8 comfortably. Also, I felt there was wasted space. The bath in the entry level would have been used much more had it been airconditioned. All in all a delightful week.

    My family vacationed in Aus-Seas Haven and had an enjoyable stay. There were 4 adults and 3 children, and the house was the perfect size; not too big for the children to get lost, and big enough where everyone could spread out. The pool was out favorite part because it stayed warmed from early morning through the night! The back yard was a great size for pets and children to play in, however I have two warnings about it. First, there is a large gap at one corner where a medium sized dog (or a wandering child) could escape onto the main road. The other warning is that the yard is covered with sand spurs... thank goodness an adult stepped foot on the yard before the children and dog did!

    The house was clean upon arrival, had most everything we needed (a few kitchen stuff could be added and a newer & larger grill would be nice), and the decks were perfect for lounging and viewing the ocean! Another thing to mention is that the TV channels would often freeze up (not sure if the service is a dish?) and the internet was completely lacking for half of the week. And when the internet did work, it was extremely slow.

    All in all, my family did enjoy Aus-Seas Haven for it's ideal location, cleanliness, amenities, and the FANTASTIC pool!

    We enjoyed our fall break vacation at Au Seas Haven. Cape San Blas and the surrounding areas were very enjoyable. The dogs had a wonderful time at the beach. It was nice to set up camp for the week and have the same spot on the beach. The residents and other vacationers were very friendly. We would definitely book another week or two with Coastal Joe in the Sea Grass Community.

    We truly enjoyed our stay! We hated to leave. The home is beautiful. Plenty of room for the entire family! Spacious kitchen and living area! Just a quick walk to the beautiful, quiet and private beach! Enjoyed having a private pool and also being right across the street from the community pool. We can't wait to go back!!!!!
