GULF FRONT HOME ON CAPE SAN BLAS

This is a NEW rental on the Gulf at Cape San Blas. A remodeled Florida cracker, southern style home with wrap around covered porches, right on the gulf with wooded property and lots of wildlife on the other side. It’s colorfully decorated, bright rooms bring in the sun light through lots of windows, glass doors, and sky lights. Located in the small quiet, gated community of Secluded Dunes, we are the 7th house from the St. Joe State Park. This park was recently named “Dr. Beach’s #1 Beach”, with it’s Eagle Harbor boat launch on the St. Joe Bay. The St. Joe Bay’s clear water is renowned for fishing, scalloping, and water sports.

As you approach the house, drive slowly, as there is always something to see. Deer, bobcats, coyotes, an occasional black bear, and various birds are frequent visitors.

You will have room to park 3 cars under cover, another in the drive, or park your boat in the roadside space.

A few steps up to the house lands you on a large covered deck, perfect for appreciating our glorious sunrises over the pines of the state park. Entering the house you have a large, fully equipped, open kitchen with all you need to create that perfect beach dinner. There is a laundry closet on the left, and a few more steps bring you to a large open great room, with breakfast bar, dining table, buffet, double sofas, TV, VCR, DVD, stereo, and sweeping views of the gulf.

Watch for the dolphin playing in the surf as you step out the glass doors and find you are on a large screen porch with dining table, comfortable chairs, lounges, and another step out to an open sundeck. This is the second best spot to toast in the best sunsets around. There is a master bedroom with King bed and bath that opens to the screen porch and gulf view, another master bedroom with queen bed and bath that also opens to the screen porch and gulf view. A third bedroom is set up for the kids with twin beds, a trundle, it’s own bathroom, and lots of kid’s books and games. The fourth bedroom has a very good quality queen convertible and a desk for those few working moments. Your working moments will include wireless DSL, unlimited long distance, and a great view. The fourth bathroom can be exclusive to the fourth bedroom, or open to the great room.

An elevator will assist our handicapped guests to a one level home with a handicapped accessed master bedroom and bathroom. There is a handheld shower in another bath for convenience.

Your few steps over our dune walk put you in THE best spot to watch our colorful sunsets, right in the soft white sand that squeaks when you walk, and goes on for 9 miles. Relax here and the gulls, sanderlings, willets, terns, pelicans, and the occasional skimmer will join you. As the clear, shallow, turquoise water laps at your feet you will declare you have found your ticket to serenity.

Fish from our beach or in the bay. Kayak, snorkel, boat, scallop, hike, or go shelling or crabbing. Or just lounge on the beach. If you are lucky, you will see a giant sea turtle trek up the beach to lay her eggs, or catch the hatching of the nest as the tiny turtles find their way to the water.

The house is SMOKE-FREE, NO PETS ALLOWED, private home. We have an age restriction that dictates reservations will not be accepted for students or singles under age 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the entire stay. Chaperoned groups are also not accepted.
