The house is laid out well and very functional. We had 12 family members there. 6 were our grandchildren. Every one was able to spread out and do their own thing in comfort. With the pool next door and the beach a couple hundred yards away. Who could ask for more. We are already planning to make a return trip next year.
The house was perfect for our families to vacation together (10 people). My father in law loves to cook and enjoyed cooking all of our meals in the very well stocked and spacious kitchen. We were all able to eat around the large dinner table together. We spent time on all the porches. We enjoyed playing games on the table on the screened in porch at night. We watched beautiful fireworks displays from the porch facing the ocean. We spent our days at the beach... The downstairs hose was a lifesaver getting all the sand off of us before entering the house! Overall, it was one of the best vacations we have taken and will definitely consider it again!!
Just a few inconveniences, refrigerator stopped working, sign posted to keep air on 76 degrees or you will be charged, this was ok during the day, but nights were unconfortable. Don't have to deal with these issues at home, didn't want to on vacation. Other than this, stay was wonderful, location was great, we fished, kayaked, went to pool which was in a great location. We cooked every night, loved all the windows and view from the kitchen.
Interested in buying property there to to rent and retire there in the future Preston Russ very helpful. Also would like to rent there next year if we havent purchased by then. I wish we could by the pottery barn house or one in that subdivision. kk
We loved the open environment of pottery barn. It fostered a great atmosphere. We had a great experience and would recommend it to anyone.
I was very concerned about the water damage in a couple of locations. Possible black mold in small kitchen downstairs. The outside needed a little cleaning on decks and siding. Beautiful view from the kitchen. Child friendly
Everything was fantastic. The house was a little further from the beach than we could tell from the photos, but having the pool right next door was wonderful. Perfect time of year to be at Cape San Blas. We'll definitely be back.
This was our second stay at Sea Glass, it was like coming home. The people at Coastal Joe, are always wonderful to us. If we ever need anything they are right on top of it. We love Suzy, and Brian. They are really super people. We love the Cape so very much, if I win a lottery I am going to buy a place there, you know you have had a wonderful vacation when you don't want to go home. If anyone is looking for a great place call Coastal Joe, they are terrific.
This house has a great set up. This is our second year at Sea Glass and we had another great year. The house is very well equipped with everything you need.
Relaxing, soothing week. Home well planned to give everyone some quiet down time in their own space.
We truly did enjoy our vacation - it is a wonderful house and location. My 4 yr old grandson didn't want to leave! Only problem we had was the ground floor bedroom had no cable box so my parents couldn't watch TV. Also - I love the big windows in the living area but you can't see the TV very well during the day because of the glare - don't want to hide that view though! Would love to come back to Sea Glass! Thanks (to the owner)for sharing your home with us.
If you ever wanted to go to paradise this is the place. Cape San Blas, is like a little part of the world that is somewhat untouched as far as commercial things, this is what we really enjoyed. We also enjoyed taking our bikes and riding the bike route that started in front of our street and went all the way to the State Park. The owner of this house takes pride in their home and we wanted to take just as good care of it as if it were our own. It was beautiful, we did not lack anything that we needed in the kitchen during our stay. We would love to return to Seaglass and the Cape San Blas area and I have recommended it to everyone I know.
Our house was very nice with little traffic so kids were safe to jaunt around with out lots of worries. Beach Beuatiful, shelling fun, dolphins...and beautiful sunsets.
Overall condition of house, good. Items that need attention. 1. Kitchen sink faucet and spray head have leaks 2. Fridg water filter needs replaced 3. y-fi connection is very weak 4. Could only get one tv dish box to work Inspite of the above, enjoyed our stay Harry Nanney
Beautiful home and a fabulous place to stay.
What a great home to stay in!! It was the perfect set up for our families that went together. We loved having the pool right at the house.
This was a very relaxing vacation. We enjoyed not having the "tourist traps" and commercialism. The local Raw Oyster Bar at Indian Pass was a highlight for the kids. They also enjoyed the Kayak rentals and state park. Highly recommend for a relaxing vacation with a beautiful beach.
Great house and views. Needs some sun screening for late day exposure into kitchen & living area. Also, I requested the replacement of a burned out light bulb early in our stay and never heard back as to why they could not meet the simple request.
My wife and I stayed at the Seaglass house on our honeymoon. Everything was wonderful, except for an issue caused by Coastal Joe management on the day we arrived. My uncle and aunt went through a lot of time and expense to put together a large welcome basket for my wife and I since we were arriving late at the house. We got in around 10pm and we did not have any food or drinks in anticipation of my Aunt's basket. The rental agent was supposed to leave the basket in our house the night we arrived. Not only did that person wait until the following morning to drop it off, but then dropped it off at the wrong house. We never saw our basket. This was extremely disappointing to my wife and I and especially to my aunt and uncle. Hopefully, better management will prevent something like this from upsetting future vacationers that visit Coastal Joe properties.
We are very sorry about the situation that happened with Matt and his bride. It was an unfortunate mistake due to mis-communication in our office and we realize the effect it had on the couple. Although nothing can replace the sentimental value of the basket that was to be delivered we did try to make up by purchasing a gift certificate, to cover an entire dinner, at one of the nicer restaurants in the area. We realized we could never replace the basket but thought we could at least do something to show that we were very sorry for what happened. We have improved our communication process in dealing with special requests like this if they ever come up again.
Being at Cape San Blas was like starring in an episode of "Planet Earth". From one of the many decks on "Seaglass" you can watch and listen to some very interesting birds. With the wave crashing and the birds singing you could not help but relax. We stayed in "Seaglass" with 4 adults and 5 children and we never seemed to get in each other's way. The "in-law" suite is like a totally separate unit. Of course, we all managed to be in the kitchen playing games and visiting most of the time we were in the house. The rest of the time we were enjoying all Cape San Blas has to offer. Don't miss St. Joseph State Park (minutes from the house) the most incredible beach, dunes, shells - the bay with starfish, seahorses and knee deep water forever - and The Lighthouse with its gigantic shells and crashing waves. I compare Cape San Blas to a less populated Sanibel Island which at Spring Break is a welcome surprise. The house was beautiful and everything the rental information said it would be. I am very picky and vacation as often as possible and I give "Seaglass" and Cape San Blas a thumbs up!
