Our stay at 2B By the Sea was amazing! This is our 2nd time at Dunes Club, but first in this unit, and I was impressed. As the ad says, the kitchen is very well stocked and the decor very nice and comfortable--I've not found a more comfortable master bed in even much more expensive beach rentals. The owner and rental company were very easy to work with and we will definitely be back! Thanks for a great vacation!
We had a good week aside from meeting Tropical Storm Debby. The unit was fine, but minor improvements would be nice. Two of the dining room chairs are broken. One to the point that you could not lean back in it. And the carpet is a bit dirty. The kayak was a nice touch & gave our teen something to do.
The condo is clean and nicely decorated. Lot's of personal touches that make this a step above the usual rental. Short walk down the boardwalk and you are on the beach. Beach gear provided as well as a spice box with most all your cooking needs are thoughtfully provided. Only flaws were broken dining room chairs and pool heater was out the whole week. Thanks for a great stay.
Thank you for another wonderful vacation. We'll see you next year!
Condo was near beach , boardwalk and pool areas were well maintained. Only two of 15 properties in the complex were ever occupied so it was quiet. Condo had basics inside. Pricing vs other properties brought us here and the property exceeded out expectations.
The carpet in the unit had numerous spots(animal?) and smelled of pet urine when we arrived. Improved after airing and mopping the floors, but carpet was badly in need of cleaning. We have a dog and our house does not smell like this.
2B By the Sea has been deep cleaned and has had all of the carpets cleaned!
The owners provide great resources to enhance your vacation and cut down on bulk items, such as beach chairs. The condo was comfortable and we had an enjoyable stay.
Great location with nice amenities. Appreciated having the grill on the balcony and the beach toys/equipment was an added benefit. They really reduced the amount of gear we had to bring from home.
Our stay at 2B by the Sea was wonderful. There were very few people around, and the wind was blowing hard, but we had a blast anyway. The condo was great, everything a visitor could want. It was too big for the two of us, but we had fun exploring it. The visit was all we had hoped for, and we hope to visit again and maybe bring other family.
I only wish this condo were after the rock wall; otherwise I would stay there each time--and still may. The owner was fantastic and his amenities are unbeleivable! He thought of everything. Loved it.
My dissatisfied scores were due to the fact that we were told to go to the wrong unit which was no cleaned then we had to abruptly move to the correct unit.
I find it difficult to respond to reviews such as this, as I’m now forced to question my reasoning on what is “the right thing to do” versus “what will this cost me (and not just monetarily).” Here’s why: I will agree that the Guest was in the incorrect unit, and that upon discovering this, they were quickly moved to the correct unit next door… I personally helped them move and I paid for the cleaning of the incorrect unit (a decision which I’m beginning to regret). Unfortunately, we cannot understand how they gained access to the neighboring unit, as we do not represent the owners of that unit, and we do not have (and have never had) keys to it. While assisting them with the move, I attempted to unlock the door with the keys that we provided, which did not work. Secondly, the Guest indicates that they were told to go to the wrong unit: Aside from asking “why would we do that”, I’m not sure to whom the Guest spoke with, as they arrived at 1:30a.m. (our office hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm), and our security log indicates no one was in the office at that time. The phone numbers provided in the Pre-Arrival and Arrival Packets are directed to our office, to my mobile phone, and lastly to my personal residence. Furthermore, the Guest Arrival Packet contains a map indicating how to get to the unit from our office. There’s little to no room for error on this… it’s only subject to one’s ability to read a map.
the beach is the best--shells, white sand, and overall beach experience, not commercial, jsut natural surf, beach life and sounds...peaceful and truly the place of our heart and soul...we come back again and again, it is like coming home to the white sand...2 B by the sea is set up great and the condo is not too big and pet friendly...great places to eat and shop in neraby Mexico Beach and Appalachacola--unique and fun and and truly beachy...Cape San Blas is our choice of vacation and 2B is where we choose to be...come see for yourself and enjoy!!!
Wonderful view of the dunes and Gulf, and nice amenities in a great condo with plenty of storage for an extended stay. Friendly people and amazing beach.
Very happy with the property itself; unobstructed view of the beach was stellar! Would have been nice if the property manager had given us the gate code to get in! Luckily another guest came along and shared it. Kids loved horseback riding on the beach. Pet friendly area. No cell reception made it tricky, but also kinda nice! Only one restaurant on the Cape; good food but surprised that there was only one. More choices in Port St. Joe or 23 miles to Apalachicola. Highly recommend Papa Joes for dinner and shopping at River Lily and the Snappy Turtle!
There were some unwelcomed guests from the other complex in our pool for several days. They were loud, smoked in the pool and used foul language. How should we have asked them to leave our area. We say them several times go over to their condo and get drinks then bring them over to our pool. We wanted them to leave, but had no idea how to ask them.
