Every thing was fine except there was no hot water one day
We have lived on the Ms. gulfcoast for the past 4 years,and have gone to Al. almost every month. We have been to Pensacola, Boca Grande, and in between- but we have never stayed in suce a well maintained, beautiful, relaxing place as nice as "The Beach House"! Schultz loved the beach too - He's a "beeech dog"! We will be back soon I hope. Thanks again.
Rental agency nice and very helpful. House location was great. Living area furniture was clean and comfortable. Need new dressers in the bedrooms. Drawers, if you're not careful, will fall out. The house needs some repair, i.e. painting of trim, new kitchen countertops, carpet replaced on stairs. The shower curtains should be washed or replaced. The stairs leading into the house from the carport are dangerous. A total of 4 falls on the landing. One pretty serious. The steps leading onto the beach need repaired. One board completely loose and if you step on it you're on your face in the sand. And that first step, not being level, is also dangerous. The view from the porch is beautiful. Would be nice to have a table out there. Enjoyed our stay but next time we'll try a different house.
We had a wonderful stay at Beachland. The house was great and as always, we enjoyed working with Coastal Joe Realty's great staff.
The place was great and the dogs couldn't get enough of the beach! The mandatory lights out for the sea turtles is fabulous for star gazing. We were even able to observe the baby sea turtles hatching and making for the water! We will definitely be going back but we're thinking a month next time. A week isn't long enough!
Things to be aware of, particularly if you have little ones -- the spacing of the balusters on the decks is a little wide and a toddler could easily squeeze through them. Also, the nail heads on the deck boards could use some re-hammering as several stuck up 1/4 inch or so (which isn't always kind to bare feet)
This is a comfortable house for a large family or two families with children. We stayed with our children, grandchildren, and a dog and had a wonderful vacation. Plenty of seating in family room for everyone. Great ocean views and wide, uncongested beach. Just be aware that the bed in the downstairs bedroom is only a double. For the price, an exceptional value!

The house was ideal, the weather exceptional ... a perfect vacation. We really could not have asked for anything else. Just to hear the sound of the waves and to see the dolphins jumping, it was a very restful, relaxing time at the beach. Would I rent here again? Without hesitation! Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your wonderful home!
Beachland was perfect for our family's beach getaway. Right on the water, comfortable and perfect for our young kids and dog. While it is an older property, it is perfect for laid back folks who just want to spend every moment either in the water or looking right at it---from the numerous big windows located all across the back of the house (your view from the main living area and kitchen as well as the two biggest bedrooms). We had a wonderful time! Also, Suzy and Carl (at Coastal Joe's) were particularly great to work with.
I thought these folks were the most friendly realtors I have met on the Cape, and we've been coming for decades. It just feels so good to have people greet you with welcoming smiles and snacks like they did. Thanks, Coastal Joe! As for Beachland, it was okay, but needs at least a queen size bed in the downstairs bedroom!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beachland June 5 - 12, 2010. This house is right on the beach with beautiful views from the porches as well as from dining room and living room downstairs and the two beach front bedrooms upstairs. We had our coffee on the porch every morning while looking at the beautiful ocean. We say the dolphins several mornings while there. There were eleven of us staying at the house and we had a wonderful time. The hot and cold shower outside was also wonderful when coming in from the beach. We could shower off right outside before coming inside. The owner of the house contacted us and said if we needed anything to let her know. Coastal Joe representatives were very helpful. I would recommend Beachland to others and would love to go back.
