We had such a wonderful time at Parkside. The owner Bill Simpson was extremely nice. He called to see if we needed anything. The house is very comfortable and spacious. The location is great! We have been coming to the Cape for 8 years and this has been the best house that we have rented by far. Thank you so much Bill and Coastal Joe!
We loved the seclusion of being the last house before the State Park. The home is beautiful, spacious and totally equipped for all family members regardless of age. We were delighted to receive a personal phone call from the owners on the first day to make sure everything was satisfactory. Hope to return to this home in the future! Outstanding experience!
Best equipped rental we have ever stayed at.
Our family truly enjoyed Cape San Blas, and especially our home-away-from-home, Parkside. The house suited us well, although we could have brought a whole extra family with us--it was spacious! The house and beach (and pretty much the whole area, except the park) being dog-friendly was a big draw for us. The kitchen was especially well-equipped, in our experience with rental units. The beach in front of the house was the best. No need to go anywhere else! Also enjoyed all the wildlife, sea and land creatures.
Awsome house! Probably best we've stayed in in the 30 years we have visited the coast. The location can not be beat. We had 4 generations in the house and it was perfect for all. Can't wait to stay again.
Housekeeping left the house with the kitchen counter surfaces and breakfast table dirty. Otherwise, things were perfect.
The house was great and we thought that everything about it was excellent. We wanted the faraway location(beside the state park) so we would not disturb anyone or vice versa. The house was setup well for our purposes and they had the toys that we did not bring. The kitchen has everything you might need(and I mean everything), but if you are a good cook bring your own knives because the knives they have are for a rental. We did not find the big fryer downstairs, until after our first cookout. But it was useful later on in the week. Make sure that you have all the food and other stuff because the drive to the Piggly Wiggly is 20+ minutes. The fresh raw seafood at the Triple Tail(on 30-A) as you are going out to the Cape is fresh and excellent. I hope that everyone who goes there to visit has as good of a time as we did. Problems that can be fixed - top oven broiler did not work, screen doors do not slide well(are they needed) and the tv system is great but a better explanation of how to use it would be nice for us adults who are not electronic wizzards.
We travel and stay all over the East coast, as well as the Gulf. This was by far the most relaxing and peaceful stay we have ever had. It was literally like having our own private beach, there was no one within a quarter mile of us. We occasionally had someone walk by on the beach, but other than that all we seen off the back deck were the dolphins playing, and off the front deck there were the deer to keep us entertained. Plenty of seashells and sharks teeth on the beach, and the fishing was great. "Thank You Coastal Joes" for our best stay ever!!!

If you're looking for seclusion & relaxation, Parkside is great. Property in excellent condition with exception of main entry door difficult to lock. Great views, beautiful beach, saw deer on property. Especially appreciated well-stocked rec supply room -- more than we needed -- beach chairs, toys, nets, shovel, bicycles, Kayak, etc. Nearest restaurants about 30 min. away, so stock up on groceries or drive a bit. Great stay!
Perfect for family coming together from 3 states and Canada. Well stocked kitchen for cooking, great for the dogs, bicycles were a plus. Weather was perfect at Thanksgiving. Gather your family and go!
Everything was great! The only improvement needed would be a new mattress set for the upstairs master! Overall it was a fantastic week!!
We enjoyed this home so much. The porch and scenery was breathe taking. The sunsets were amazing and I couldn't say enough about the clean beaches. The house was perfect for our growing family with all the amenities anyone could ask for. Thank you for making our dream vacation come true.
We loved the house and we loved the location. We plan to come back next year for two weeks instead of one.Could not have n been better.
The house is ideal for a large family. Guests need to be aware to plan ahead for food though and restaurant outings. We could not find the "guest book" which supposedly included a list of all the surrounding offerings such as restaurants, grocery stores, fish markets, tourists attractions and such. Also, we got eaten up by bugs which we never identified (?). That would probably be the worse of it! Perhaps a seasonal happening. We do not know but overall the experience was wonderful.
Great place. House, Beach and pretty much everything else was really great. Could not ask for anything more. Only downside was the insects outside. At certain times they are unbearable, but that is more of an environmental thing vs, rental issue. Great rental experience. Thanks
We've stayed here before--always enjoy the location and spacious accommodations. Picked up welcome packet at rental office but were not given the security code for gate entrance--spotty cell coverage, but eventually got a call out to the property manager who was helpful. Our only disappointment came when we discovered dirty dishes and silverware in the kitchen cabinets. Also lacked enough linens.
