Ultimate Solitude & Natural Beauty

Stayed 28 days in February, 2011
There were many days when the only living creatures we saw were the porpoises playing offshore, the pelicans diving for fish, or the deer in the back yard munching away on the clover. On other busier days, we might see a few actual people walking their
dogs along the shore. Heath House is in well-named Secluded Dunes, and sits right on the beautiful white sand beach 100 yards from the gentle surf, protected by a small sand dune formation. The layout of the house, a huge great room/dining room/kitchen open
to the sea view, and with ample bedrooms and bathrooms at its four corners, is eminently usable. A deck, screened to the front, surrounds the home, and an electric elevator makes elemental the movement of luggage or groceries to the second floor. Our family
cannot imagine a better beach vacation home than Heath House, nor a more tranquil and beautiful natural environment than Cape San Blas near -- but not too near! -- Port St Joe on the "Forgotten Coast" of Florida's Panhandle.
