We had a great time visiting for the Plein Air paint out. Everything inside was perfect and as advertised, the beds were not too comfortable though. We loved the house had an excellent time, walked on the dock, walked on the bike path, relaxed in the hot tub, did a little plein air painting of our own. I would reccomend this house, the price was fair and it was nice to find something for our sized group which was only 3. We would have loved maybe an extra bed somewhere since we were 3 unrelated singles. The giant couch was awesome as well. We never could get on the internet.....
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Mermaid Sunrise. The views of the sunrise from within and from outside the house were spectacular....priceless! Beach was easily accessible, just a short walk across the road and onto those beautiful beaches. As always, we were very satisfied with the friendliness, efficiency, and services of Coastal (Joe)Vacation Rentals.

We have had a great week in Mermaid Sunrise. Having a Bay front with amazing sun rises, a variety of birds, and fish jumping in the bay has been a nature heaven. The beach is a couple of minutes across a very unbusy road where you can sit and watch the sun set. It's perfect and the best of both worlds. The house is secluded with only 2 neighbouring houses both of which were empty during our visit. The house has everything you could possibly want, except a hairdryer. The hot tub is a real bonus. Do bring shopping with you and for fresh meat and fish the Piggly Wiggly was worth a visit. Our last day we spent on the beach and watched dolphins playing off shore. Later they herded fish by jumping and splashing they tails which resulted in a breakaway group of fish all jumping out of the water together - awesome. A perfect get away we would recommend
Mermaid Sunrise is a lovely, comfortable home, and a great place to watch the sun rise over St. Joseph Bay and Pig Island. The property is close to all amenities, but feels secluded and private. It is a great place to stay if you enjoy watching wildlife. We loved the 'beach' and pier right in the front yard.

Enjoyed the stay will return, just wish i could have gotten my boat back there to the dock, area was to shallow,besides that everything thing was great.

An awesome view of St. Joe Bay (Pig Bayou). This is the first time we've stayed on the bay & I loved it. We normally stay gulf front. The sunrises were breathtaking. The house was immaculate. We had everything we needed. The hot tub was clean & there were sand toys for the kids (even a crab cage). I feel like we found paradise this time. I hope I have to rent from Pristine Properties again. We had a bad experience with them not maintaining their properties. Coastal Joes, you ROCK !

Very laid back, just what we were looking tourist traps, hotels or snobby up tight travelers.
We were the first renters to rent this property and as such there were a couple of items that the house lacked. Coastal Joe did a wonderful job of providing these items within hours. Their customer service was exceptional. The only draw-back to the house is the foggy windows upstairs overlooking the bay. It's a shame because the view is simply stunning-especially sunrise. If you have a boat with a larger draft or motor realize that the water at the dock can be quite shallow. With our kayaks however - no problem. We liked the short walk to the Gulf and enjoyed morning paddles on the Bay and evening sunset walks on the beach- best of both worlds for us. Our Boykin Spaniel loved daily dock diving and chasing gulls on the beach. We have booked again for next year!
