  We had an AWESOME week at the home. Mother nature provided us with some chilly days but the house was perfect. The location could not have been better and our family loved it! Once the sun came out, the kids ran to the beach which was only steps away. Thank you for sharing your home, we will definitly be back!

  We came down for the long weekend over New Year's to stay at Shutters by the Sea and could not have been more pleased with the house. It was fully stocked as promised with great games, books, kitchen items and cleaning supplies. The owners were nice enough to leave their Christmas decorations up for us which we really enjoyed. All the updates to the kitchen and bath were noticeable and added a nice touch to the house. You can tell these owners take pride in their home and want to be accommodating to whoever rents it. All in my group said they want to come back, and we were completely satisfied with the whole experience. Thanks!

  Shutters by the Sea is a beautiful older home in the process of being renovated. Love the open floor plan on the first floor and the wrap-around porch. The view to the north is awesome. Only disappointment was the upstairs shower which was advertised with "dual shower heads" and which we took to mean that both would work at the same time. It didn't. And unfortunately, the shower knob was broken so we only got very hot water and couldn't use it at all. Would also recommend some additional lighting in the kitchen. But overall the house was a great place to spend our vacation and we would visit again.

  We have traveled many times to the beach and the mountains yet we have just returned from our most relaxing and restorative vacation ever at Shutters by the Sea! Our gratitude goes to the owners for taking care of every little detail - comfy cushions on the deck chairs (a great place to take an afternoon nap by the way), a well placed hose for rinsing off your feet before going inside, a wonderful selection of books in the library (one of our favorite rooms in the house), a well stocked kitchen, and too much more to list!! The house is so close to the beach and the windows so plentiful that you don't even have to leave the house to feel like you're literally on the beach. Ahhhh, we're going to book our next stay ASAP!

  Shutters By the Sea is one of those properties that had gone the way of many beach properties. Lost at sea. The new owners have done a remarkable job with the help of their builder to bring it to a point of peaceful, relaxing and well appointed. The views or the gulf are spectacular. The swings on the wrap around porch and upper porch deck are wonderful in the Florida evenings.
  
  My only disappointment for this trip was the location. It was a bit crowded for our taste but please don't take that as being a typical Florida beach crowd. Anything over 50+ people each mile, left or right, for us is a crowd.. Cape San Blas is a world to those where crowds are spotty and the only thing other than people taking up the beach can be the seaweed at times. This year (2012) was no exception to that but then again its Florida storms in July/August.
  
  My only recommendation was to have a gas grill as I haven't had to build a charcoal fire in 10 years. Coastal Joe has been one of the best property management companies I've dealt with and Mary B doesn't get any better with customer service and helpfulness when you need something.
  
  Anyone reading this please don't take my review here as being anything that should stop you from renting this property. Over the next few months as the owners make more improvements this is going to become one of the crown jewels of Cape San Blas and then we will all have to book a year in advance to enjoy what it will offer.
  
  I've already booked for June 2013 so if you want a great place you better hurry before this one and Coastal Joe's other properties are gone!!!
