Turtle Haven

The location is great. The house is laid out in a great way. We had seven people stay and there was plenty of room. I would highly recommend this house. I would definitely book it again!

The pictures for this home are missing a key view that pleasantly surprised us when we stayed there. The view from the kitchen/dining/living room is absolutely the best feature of this home. When you come up the steps to the living room and the curtains are open, you will see such a great view! After a long drive into town, it takes your breath away. They really should update the photos to show this. If it's not too hot outside, you can leave the sliding doors open and hear the waves hitting the beach. The home is pet friendly and the decor is somewhat outdated, but the view and the short walk to the very spacious beach is totally worth it. If you're needing a pet-friendly place for 6-9 people and you want to be right on the beach, this can't be beat. Even if you're not interested in pet friendly, this is a very clean and perfectly located place. There are dog bowls in the living room that can be put away in a closet and you will never even think about them while you enjoy your time there. There are some repairs needed to the downstairs bedroom sliding glass door seal, but I'm sure that will be resolved soon. I recommend bringing extra towels, laundry detergent, and paper towels. Enjoy!

Loved our stay at Turtle Haven. We will be back again. Right on the beach. All photos and descriptions were accurate. Need a new working grill but that’s no biggie. Coastal Joe was easy to work with and very responsive.

My husband, the 2 dogs and I stayed at Turtle Haven for a little over a week. We love Cape San Blas because it is so dog friendly. The house had everything we needed to relax and enjoy the vacation. We would definitely stay there again.

We love this little place and have been coming to it for years. The updates are great, particularly the new floor and paint color. It’s a pity the roof over the screened in porch is no longer water proof, hence you can’t sit out there when it’s raining which we used to be able to do. Also what most concerned us was the chairs on the screened in porch they are rusted through and pose a health hazard. The house was clean but dirty bed sheets were left in the upstairs bedroom . My guest complained about the upstairs mattress in the (kids room). I hate to complain because I do so love your little haven and we will definitely be back many more times God willing.

We love the house and the Costal Joe Rental staff and tenth times with Costal wes oue third time in this house and will will be back at least once a year.

This house is very nice. It just needs a little lovin on it. I would love the chance to go in and fix and detail some of the issues. None are major except the internet. Don't think you are going to be able to stream with the current internet. If the TV pauses it's because all the TV's are Roku and stream the channels.

My family and I had a wonderful, restful vacation on Cape San Blas at Turtle Haven. The view was wonderful and the house comfortable. I admit, the house does need a little TLC, but I think that is because it seems to stay rented out. If you are wanting a quiet, relaxing stay on the Gulf, you will appreciate Turtle Haven.

The rental was as described. Everyone was comfortable and we had a great time. I would consider repairing the boardwalk soon. Many boards are missing or are about the bears and Should you brush up against the hand rails, splinters will be a issue. Not a huge deal but something that needs to be watched. Also the gas grill needs some tlc. Overall a very positive stay.

My husband and I had another great stay at Turtle Haven with other members of our family. The house is in a great location and it’s so convenient to be located beach front. We can’t wait to come back!

Very impressed with Coastal Joe's response to COVID and cleanliness plan. Everything was a breeze with check-in and we felt comfortable. The maintenance man was exceptional as he went out of his way to fix things and even built a new outside table that was likely broken in a storm. This house had not been used in two months due to COVID and the maintenance man cut back the brush to make it easier to pull beach cart toward the beach. Very close to the beach and easy to get back and forth. Not close to a public access which is great. Close enough to walk or bike to the trading post. So sad to see Shoobies and Sandbucket closed, but loved many other restaurants. We loved hiking at the first trail at the entrance to the state park. Turtle Haven is a great location on the Cape and would love to stay again.

Location. Location. Location. This house made it so easy to come and go from the beach, even with gear. Having rinse station in carport kept us from getting everything inside so sandy. Easy stroll to get to Shrimp Co. and Trading post. The interior of house is somewhat dated but everything was functional.

wonderful...The beach and weather were perfect. It was the perfect location for quick runs. there was plenty of room for everybody. Although we were hot sleeping upstairs. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed. loved the giant low country boil pot.

Turtle Haven was very good. Not directly on the beach, but a good view of ocean from upper deck. House is adequately stocked with supplies and was plenty roomy for our 6 adults.

Loved, loved, loved this house and the location and the gorgeous beachy backsplash! Have already booked again for next summer!

We enjoyed our stay at Turtle Haven in May. We found everything in order. Our only problem was operating the tv, which was resolved after a couple of days.
All in all, it was a fine place.

A perfect week on the beach with family. For 6 adults and one dog we had plenty of room. And closer to the beach than it looks in the pictures. The weather was amazing with one storm in the evening. Lightning over the water was awesome. The best outdoor shower. We had low water pressure that week (no fault of Coastal Joe) but the outdoor shower had plenty of pressure! 5 minute drive down the road is a seafood market. We had a feast at the house. Great shrimp and scallops. We all had a great trip and cannot say enough good things about Turtle Haven! Very clean! Had everything you need! And so close to the beach. Your own boardwalk off the deck. Would recommend this rental to everyone! Thanks

We really enjoyed our stay at Turtle Haven. He beach house was all that we wanted in a vacation home. The only negatives I have are the beds. Everyone in my party complained about the beds not being comfortable. This wasn't a vacation nightmare but this could be better. Everything else was absolutely wonderful. Walking in, you felt at home. It was very clean and comfortable. The best thing if all though was the outside shower. I've got to have one now at my house! We really enjoyed the fact that the beach is right it the door. Definite a place to stay when you want to be at the beach.

We truly enjoyed Turtle Haven and all its character. The home
was reasonably clean, well furnished, and pleasant. Although it meet our expectations, we were glad we hadn't planned to grill. The "grill" was a rusted out charcole one with busted legs, completely unusable. It be a nice amenity if there were as investment in a gas grill. Of course, we enjoyed every moment of the beach we could, and we loved the outdoor shower. Great time and place.

This was a great choice. It was right on the beach. There was plenty of room inside and it was very clean when we arrived. The outdoor shower was great very roomy.

We love Turtle Haven which we rent each time we come to Cape San Blas. It is the perfect size for our family, including our dogs. The screened porch and open deck are the perfect gathering place in the evenings. We love to cook and the kitchen is well stocked.

My wife, our two kids and my parents spent 13 nights at Turtle Haven. We only had one or two minor issues and both were attended to by Coastal Joe's VERY quickly. It's just hard to put into words how much we all enjoyed our time in the sand!

Turtle Haven is in a great location. It's just steps from the beach. The house shook when you walked around so when people were sitting still it took some getting used to. We went Labor Day weekend to catch the last weekend of scallop season. And it also happened to be the opening weekend of college football. None of the TVs in the bedrooms worked. They would come on for a minute and then it would freeze. It was back and forth so much that you couldn't watch anything. Besides those two things it was a great place for our little vaca!

We had a great time with family from Texas and Illinois. The house worked out great for us, it was easy getting back and forth to the beach. So thankful for the pull cart under the house for lugging gear and toys. Very convenient to have the downstairs bathroom for cleaning up without disturbing kids upstairs sleeping.

The only thing we noticed was how dirty the carpets were. We all decided that we had to wear socks the whole time, which ended up black at the end of the day, which was better than black, dirty feet. We will be returning this year, but desperately hope the carpets get a good steam clean in 2016.

My husband and I took a weeks working vacation to the cape in October. The weather was perfect, the house had everything we needed except chairs for the beach. (Bring your chairs and umbrellas) Loved the outside shower! Lots of room and really two master suites for two families to share. The little grocery store is close and convenient with most of your needs at a higher prices, but worth supporting them. Gas grill was a plus! We left behind an old Army shovel we found in the water so you have something for digging for your bonfires. We took our portable kennel for our pets which was nice to leave them unattended when away from the house. They loved the cool breezes that flow in the garage space under the house and well shaded. If you are visiting in Sept. or Oct and have flies, the Natz spray sold at the store really does work! Met some nice adjoining property owners and was inspired by some art. Left a piece for the home. : ) I recommend this home to couples, families with children. Thanks for a wonderful week! We will be back!

My family very much enjoyed the dog friendly beach. The house was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the cool evening breeze on the screened in porch. The walk to the beach was short, which made it easy to carry our supplies for a day at the beach.

This was our second year at Turtle Haven. Our stay was better than ever. The house was clean and everything was provided for. Even the weather was beautiful. Would definitely recommend Turtle Haven for a relaxing good time.

Our 2nd time staying here. This is a comfortable perfect place for us. Husband, wife and 2 dogs could not be happier. Beach is gorgeous, so relaxing, dog friendly! Could not ask for anything more! We will be back.

Only thing that was disturbing was that "dog flies" were on the beach almost every day. Other than that it was a good trip.

Everything was almost perfect.........house was spacious, amenities were plenty, beds were comfortable and location was awesome fantastic. Arrival for check -in and check out was easy and office staff were nice and professional. Only issue was master comforter was not clean and TV was not click on ready so we never used it which is good I guess.

Turtle Haven is a great house to be in at the beach. Very uniquely decorated in ways we had never seen. Fun to see unusual backsplash!! You gotta' see it. The house was spotless on the inside and kitchen very well equipped. Wish the master bedroom had had a king size bed. Their were a few issues on the outside. The exterior stairs were not in good shape and part did not have a rail. The area around the great outdoor shower was not clean. items left by previous renters, we presume, old toys, umbrellas, . Very dirty, some trash in toy box.
We would definitely go back to Turtle Haven. Location was great. Very clean inside and couldn't beat the short, short walk on the boardwalk to the sand. Coastal Joes'employees very friendly and interested in making our stay fun and relaxing. The screen porch was wonderful.Great for kids. (bedroom Number 3 was perfect!) Close to Trader Joes's and the Ice Cream parlor. Bring your bicycles!!

We rented the same house last year. Great location. Perfect for 6 adults. it's got some age, but a quaint beach cottage. Easy beach access. We have used Coastal Joe for several rentals on CSB. They do a wonderful job. Only slight issue, and really not an issue, the recliner could be replaced in the living area.

When we arrived we went straight to the beach! The sand was white and the water was beautiful. The house was set back a bit farther than the other houses, but still had a view of the houses were in front of it. The house was clean and ready for us to check in. Costal Joe was friendly, organized, and very helpful! We loved our stay! The beach was very relaxing. You didn't have to worry about loosing your kids in the sea of people fighting for a spot on the beach! No high rise condos. Just your family and the beach! It is definitely not commercialized, which is what we were looking for! There were only guests from the houses and the residents that live there! People were so friendly and it was quiet. The only thing I can think of that would make our stay better was a broom! We couldn't find one anywhere! Lol

Perfect for a week long trip with some friends. It was a quiet, beautiful beach and a wonderful house! It was everything we expected, very well equipped. Has a great view of the gulf, and we saw dolphins every day!

Property needs some minor work such as knob on stove, handle on sliding door,batteries in smoke alarms should be changed on regular basis. woke everyone up in middle of night. Lighting in living area is bad. Dining area furniture is to big for the area. Round table with lighter chairs would be better. Charcoal grill needs to be replaced, owners should be ashamed of such a piece of junk.

We were very satisfied with Turtle Haven. It was close to beach and very roomy. The only thing we found wrong was, one large burner control knob on stove was broke and the yard could have been maintained better. They were weedeating when we arrived. Other than that, the beds were clean and very comfortable, and everything was provided that we needed. We enjoyed our stay and would definely rent Turtle Haven again. Wonderful beach

We liked this house. It was perfect for our three families. It did sit back between two houses which did block the sunset from the porch, but not the dolphins view. For the money this house was great. We have stayed at several houses on the Cape all beach front. This one was probably the best location.
We loved working with Coastal Joe. They were so friendly. They really want you to enjoy your vacation. I will definitely use them again.

The house was great, very well stocked and located within easy walking distance from the beach. We weren't able to check in until an hour and a half past check in it because the house wasn't cleaned but the office let us unload our things at the house. Once the cleaning staff arrived they were very thorough and the house was very clean when we finally got in. I would highly recommend this house.

This was our second time at Turtle Haven. Children and grandchildren ranging from 66--8 years old. Turtle Haven felt like home away from home. We had all we needed for a wonderful vacation. The only thing is the house is listed as oceanfront and it is, but there is a house in front that blocks the beach/ocean view and sunset. We have been going to Cape San Blas, for over 20 years and stayed with many different property rentals. Coastal Joe by far is the best. The nicest people you will ever meet. I loved our stay at Turtle Haven. It was roomy (even bigger than it looked in the pictures) and charming with a great location on the beach. The only drawback was that some of the furniture was a bit shabby (the dining table was falling a part a bit -and it could use more utencils (forks became a valuable commodity ;) but the beds were comfortable, there was plenty of extra linens, lots of TVs, (and when we couldn't get the main TV to work - totally our own doing - they sent someone within 30 minutes to get us on track! ;) It has a wonderful back deck, balcony and screened-in porch with beautiful views and easy-beach access. The rental folks were extremely helpful and nice on all of my dealings with them. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

The house and location are fine. The driveway needs to be widened so when you back out from the parking space on the right side of the house you don't back into a drop off.

This vacation was what we needed. It felt like a true vacation should feel - no crowds, no traffic, no loud music, no cheap souvenir stores, and no sky high condominiums. The house, the beach, the people (the few we saw) couldn't have been better. I actually felt rested. After having visited Panama City Beach for many years, I think I forgot what vacation is supposed to be. Cape San Blas reminded me and it tasted so sweet! We will definitely be back and hope Turtle Haven is available. By the way, the name Turtle Haven isn't just a name picked at random. We actually got to see a turtle nest just a few short steps from the house.

although this house was advertised as beach front, it is really 1st tier. the rate was high for a house that wasn't beach front.

Turtle Haven is a great beach house with lots of room and out-door spaces. It is decorated nicely and most of the beds were comfortable. We did have some problems with the linens - they were not clean on two of the beds (and one of the comfortors was quite bad and had to be replaced). We washed the sheets on all the beds before we went to sleep the first night. Still waiting on refund on linen fees. Most of the non-stick pots and pans need to be replaced, but that is an easy fix. Otherwise, a lovely place that I would come back to. Coastal Joe is a very responsive agency and it was pleasant to work with them.

We caught our limit of scallops when it wasn't raining. The top deck was a little scary as many railing supports were rusted and the railing was ready to fall off. It would have been nice if the screeen porch screens were installed correctly and did not blow in. We avoided being bug bitten only because of the rain.
