Second time to Miss B Haven, we love Cape San Blas. House is right on the beach and makes it convenient for transporting all the beach gear. House is pet friendly and our dog loved to sit on the beach with us! House needs a few updates but overall is a great place to stay. Renting with Coastal Joe is fantastic and they are always responsive with any requests!

We've stayed here before. It is right on the beach so we don't have to walk to far. We will probably stay there again when we can get some more time off. It's a nice place.

House was accurately described as beach front. One thing to know is the house has the kitchen living area up three flights of stairs! Once groceries and supplies were up it was OK. Views of beach are great and it is a short walk on shared walkway to beach. We had several issues during our stay that management company responded to promptly. However, House needs some upkeep. Mattresses are old and saggy. 2nd story porch had ZERO furniture. 2nd story sliding doors were hard to move to exit to the beach.

we always enjoy a house that is directly on the beach! so easy to just walk a few steps and be right in the ocean. there have been some reviews that it is not 'updated' or I guess super modern, but I think the most important thing about this place is that it is DOG FRIENDLY and very comfortable yet clean/tidy for being so. we loved it and would/will come back!

It’s in a great location and thankful they allowed pets. Some renovations would be nice to the interior. Stayed there in 2018 also. Cookware is very old.

We will definitely be back! My family and I have been vacationing at the Cape for 25+ years. We loved that this house was beach front. The only thing that I didn’t like was that both the bunk bed room and queen bedroom didn’t have dressers so I could unpack our clothes. I would recommend dressers even if they have to be placed in the closets. Other than that this house met all our expectations. I would definitely recommend!!

Love the artwork, nicely furnished, great kitchen and supplies (except we never could find the potholders), right on the beach with own boardwalk, outdoor shower and also faucets to rinse off, three flights of stairs - kitchen on top level, screened in porch as well as sun deck - both of kitchen/family room on third level, covered porch (not screened in off of bedroom level. Stairs from this level go straight to boardwalk

We have visited the Cape many times and stay in a different house each time. I really prefer the Haven Road area because it is close to the Trading Post and my husband does not like to back his boat in a driveway or for of the main road. This particular house has many, many steps from the car to the kitchen. If you have small children or people with bad knees(!) that is good to know ahead of time. Also if you have small children there are many knick-knacks sitting around. We had to buy a fan for the Master Bedroom. The larger bed in the bunk room is in dire need of a new mattress. The current one sags in the middle. Also there were ants in the master bathroom and small roaches in the stairwell.

Coastal Joe is a fantastic rental agency with the most courteous staff. They offered us 3 houses at the same price as the one we that was too damaged to rent. Great service. The property was ok. Beds were great. Kitchen was not clean and cluttered. Great beach!

One of the most accommodating beach homes my family has spent for our annual vacation. Would not recommend for small children. The stairs cannot be gated as the opening is too large. We had a toddler and had to push furniture to block the stairwells. Other than that inconvenience this is a wonderful house. Cape San Blas is the perfect beach for a relaxing vacation.

We looked forward to our family vacation all year! It began beautifully before the hurricane appeared from nowhere. Miss B Haven was beautiful and hopefully survived the beast. She is a wonderful ocean front home with a great view. I pray Cap San Blas recovers quickly because it’s a great place to vacation. We were reimbursed for part of the week which was appreciated.

Our experience was great with the house and Coastal Joe. We only had one problem, had 2 tv's not working on arrival. We called Coastal Joe, they sent someone right away and had the problem solved very quickly. There were 5 adults in the home. We had ample space and bedrooms. Kitchen is nicely supplied with almost anything you can think of. Loved the screened porch to look out, hear the waves and see everything, even when we had a small shower of rain. Would use this home and Coastal Joe again in future.

Loved the house and amenities. Sea turtle laid her eggs at the base of our path while we were on the beach enjoying a fire. Wonderful experience. Only negative was the dishwasher didnt clean. You had to basically wash dishes before loading. Otherwise, great sunsets, no rain and the screen porch is a perfect outdoor living room. Thanks for offering a comfortable pet friendly home!!

Miss B Haven is perfectly located. This is our second year using this home, and we have never had a crowd to deal with. If you look up and down the beach, you can see that some areas are quite populated. This spot is not. My children ages 12 - 4 had no trouble getting back and forth to the beach using the steps, boardwalk, or slope down the dunes to the water. The house is clean and neat with a great A/C and plenty of very hot water. The screened in porch is a great plus for enjoying the view without sitting in the sun while snacking between swims.

There are a few cons. I think the most disappointing thing about the house is that the water pressure is poor in both showers, especially in the hall bathroom where the shower head just plain doesn't work. Rinsing your hair, or your kids' hair, is very difficult. There are some loose and detached boards on the walk to the water, and the porch has a metal panel that is rusted and detached. It is probably dangerous for children. I did report these to the rental company, and they assured me they would see that they are addressed.

The stairs are no problem for our family, but if I had a toddler or bad knees, I would consider a single-level house.

Overall our family loves staying here. The view is perfect, the beach is mostly secluded, the bedrooms are all on one floor, and the Trading Post (with the ice cream shop, donut stand, and most grocery staples and beach items you may need) is close enough to walk to.

We truly enjoyed our stay here both years, and some minor repairs would make it perfect!

We booked this house at the very last minute and the process was so easy . The agent was helpful and provided all of the information we needed. We did an after hours check in and it was so easy and convenient. The house was beautiful and clean. It SMELLED clean as well which was very pleasant. We would definitely book this house again!

Distance from the house to the beach is fabulous and we loved being within walking distance to ice cream or necessities at The Trading Post. Staff at Coastal Joe were friendly and helpful. A couple of things that we also really loved:
- the outdoor shower and downstairs hose for cleaning our shoes, chairs, pets and selves
- living space on the top floor has great view of the gulf and plenty of comfortable seating
- kitchen is well appointed with all necessary utensils and dishes for feeding a group
While we had a great time and definitely loved the location and service we received from the rental company, there are a few tips I would provide to the owners to make this a top notch rental:
- This property could still use an upgrade in the outdoor furniture to really make it feel like a more luxurious spot.
- I don't care for the layout of the house - i.e. the shared living space, including kitchen being on the top floor and egress from the house to the beach being at the bottom. This makes loading your cooler for a day at the beach a cumbersome task at best. Could be rectified with a second refrigerator in the entryway downstairs.

Had to put a mattress from the little bunk bed in our master bedroom to sleep on because the springs were coming out of the master mattress. A new mattress was delivered on the last night and it is still not clear if we will be comisatwd at all which I do not understand. All mattressss were awful. No extra garbage bags or toilet paper. My husband called about that and was told "it is what it is". I had to call for a dustpan and they did bring that. 8 wasn't sure if we were supposed to bring our own broom/dustpan. I understand it said they don't supply paper towels, soap, dish washing liquid. Which I didn't realize until after I paid. The price does not reflect the lack of amenities and I have never stayed somewhere like that. But to tell me the owners are trying to decide if hey are going to compensate us for having to sleep in the floor because their mattress was defective is obsurd.

Miss B Haven was great for our family. We have 5 children ages 11 to 3, and having all the bedrooms on one floor was what we needed. The screened-in porch balcony was great, too--the kids could eat "outside" safely. Everything was clean, except inside the toilets. They needed some care when we arrived. The house has plenty of seating for meals and family time. The walk to the water is short, but you do share the boardwalk with another house. Be prepared to climb lots of stairs. Bring at least 2 baby gates if you have little ones. We would definitely rent this house again. :)

House was great-just keep in mind there are lots of stairs which may be difficult for older family members. We love Cape San Blas! Awesome trip!

We had a great vacation. The house is better than the pictures make it seem. It was very clean and very accommodating to our family. We did have a couple of issues. The grill was not working but a call and someone was out immediately and fixed the problem. The television system went out on Tuesday but it did take until Friday for it to be fixed. But we were on vacation and televisions were not high on our wish list. We easily hooked up one of our ipads and watched a movie if we wanted. Overall a great place to vacation. I hope to be back next year.

Miss B Haven is a great house in a great location. The management staff was more than helpful. The one thing that would keep me from recommending this home or staying here again would be the beds. None of them were comfortable, especially the master. It was extremely firm. I expected more for a nice, beach front home. I was also disappointed that the property offered no chairs, umbrellas, bicycles etc. for guests to use at the beach.

This house is an A+, at least most of it. The inside is great all the way around, but loses some of its appeal when you step out onto the deck. The well used, stained, cracked plastic furniture is a real turn off and detracts from the beauty of the house. Upgrade the deck furniture, especially on the screened in deck, and this house would be a real "10". A good power washing and/or paint job on the screened in deck would also do wonders for the appearance. Overall, though, it was very nice. The house was clean and the furniture and mattresses were quite comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen. And the view was spectacular - any time of the day - rain or shine. A great place to watch the fish, the birds, and the weather. It was a good vacation, and yes we would return to "Miss B Haven".

This was the fourth time we have stayed in Miss B Haven, and was delightful as always. The location on the beach is excellent! This area of the beach is spacious and not as populated as some of the areas on the Cape. Not that any of it is over-run like you experience in larger areas.
This year we had 2 turtle nests on the beach in front of the house. Neither hatched while we were there, but they were handy to keep an eye on. The house was clean and well maintained, as always; and is very spacious for our family of 5.

I highly recommend Miss B Haven for a peaceful and enjoyable stay on a fabulous beach!

This is our second year staying in this beachfront home we had no hesitation in renting it a second time. The home's beach front location, gulf view and beach access are fantastic. The decor is very beach appropriate, home is clean and well maintained. Management company is friendly and answered all our questions promptly. We are glad that we were able to participate in a recycling project for a local student. The only reason I gave it 4 stars for maintenance was due to the deck sliding door being difficult to open and management said it would be taken care of.

Coming back next summer and this is our first choice!

The house was wonderful with a few exceptions. It had a beautiful beach view and access. The master bedroom mattress was not comfortable. We love to sit on the deck and porch and eat dinner and enjoy the view but the outdoor furniture was flimsy plastic and very uncomfortable with no cushions (just not very inviting). Other than that, the house was great.

Overall a very nice place right on the beach. Be prepared for lots of stairs from the bottom entry to the top floor main living area. Bringing in supplies might be challenging for the less fit and if you have a dog that likes/needs frequent potty breaks, you will get your exercise.

Well equipped kitchen with everything in good working order. The interior area is larger than appears in the photos. Very nice views with large windows.

Sliding doors were hard to open and the water pressure in the second bath shower was not sufficient. At times it seemed warm inside even though the thermostat read 70.

I didn't bring my boat, but backing it in would have been moderately challenging.

We have been visiting the Cape for 15+ years and this is a little above average for the places we are used to staying. IT was nice to be able to put up our beach tent the first day and just walk out and be on the beach.

The rental experience was perfect in every way. The rental process was straightforward and smooth. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Miss B Haven is a beautiful property. The photos do not do it justice! The main living space is open and spacious with jaw-dropping unobstructed views of the gulf. There is a real WOW factor here. The home is well-appointed with everything you could possibly need. Very impressive!

We were there as first-time visitors. We had heard that it is a great dog-friendly place to vacation, and we wanted to take a look before we booked a longer stay. Though we had a little ucky weather, we were not disappointed.

The home itself is beautiful, though it could use some TLC. The sliding doors were difficult to open, but worse, they were VERY dirty with sea salt, and there was inadequate equipment on site for those of us with OCD to clean them. I did my best with a sponge mop and a towel and the view was much improved! One door seemed to have a broken window seal and remained clouded. (Confession: I have something of a clean-window fetish.) In the master bedroom, one bedside table was missing (though its lamp stood on the floor) so my husband (who sleeps with a CPAP on the table beside him) slept in another bedroom; we've been married over 50 years, so the short separation was rather nice.

Main living area on the third floor--wasn't a problem at all for us 50 years ago, when we lived in a 3rd floor apartment for 3 years, but now we're used to living on one floor, and the stairs were a challenge. (The dog seemed to enjoy the climb, but she's young!) We did like that the stairs were all indoors.

My husband had a slight medical emergency and the staff was very accommodating, allowing us to stay one extra day. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and professional.

All that said, the view was incredible, the beach was super-close, the home was warmly decorated and very comfortable and all the equipment we used in our short stay was fine. We met lots of nice people on the wonderful beach and had a lovely stay.

We stayed at Mis B Haven the week of Thanksgiving 2014 and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had a great time. It was easy making reservations, checking in, and checking out. The house had spectacular view of Gulf.

It was everything you said it would be and we would stay there again.

This place was great! We did have a few minor issues. For instance, kitchen wasn't as clean as it should've been and the dishwasher was broken when we got there. Took a couple of days before serviceman came to check it. Once they decided it needed to be replaced, it was another couple of days before that actually took place. So....from Saturday through Thursday we had no dishwasher. We brought our boat which is 20 ft long. We were told that we could easily maneuver it in drive because there was ample room. Driveway was very tight. Luckily, my husband is an experienced driver. Someone not so experienced would never have gotten it out of there.
On a more positive note, the location and view were awesome! Sunsets were unbelievable! Very short walk to the beach which was very nice having two young children with lots of stuff to carry. My favorite part of the house was the screen in porch and sitting out there at night listening to the waves bug free. Even with the issues we had, we would definitely rent this house again. I can't say enough about how great the location is. Vacations on the Cape are always awesome and this one was especially wonderful.

Amazing views, beautiful house

Compared to the 4 other places we have stayed at Cape San Blas--this was least attractive--furniture is dated, porch table was filthy, did not have any beach chairs--did we have a great time--yes and it was a little cheaper.

We love this house. There are 3 bedrooms all on the 2nd level. The third level is the kitchen, dining area, living area, and half bath. The third level was all open and the view was incredible. I highly recommend this property.

Loved the location and layout of Miss B Haven. You can have your kids on the beach while you run up to fix lunch, and keep an eye on them from the kitchen. Kitchen and living is top level, bedrooms are middle level, and foyer/entry is on ground. We liked the large entry, with plenty of room for our "stuff." Ample bathrooms (2 full, 1 half).

Only negative I have to give is regarding the general maintenance of the place. For the price and location, it could use a little love. Most of the sliders were so difficult to open they were unusable (kids definitely couldn't get them open). Some knobs were falling off closet doors, and the bunk bed is so rickety it's unusable. These are minor issues that should be easy enough to take care of. With those issues addressed, we would definitely book another stay!

We thought there were several things that needed repair. It was nothing that kept us from having a very pleasant experience. Our family had a great time!

Most of our vacations are scheduled with activities (got to get the most bang for your buck!). We came as first time visitors with NO schedule in hand and it was all good. We did do a few things like kayaking and sightseeing but for the most part we stayed at Miss B Haven and enjoyed the fabulous view from every room in the house. Shopped in Port St Joe for seafood and groceries. Found the kitchen to be very well equipped. Cooking with the Gulf in full view and the breeze coming through the screened in porch was awesome. Great house floor plan, we settled right in. Quiet and clean dog friendly beaches.

This was our second year and it was wonderful. We will be back. This house is wonderful! Even better than last year! Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation!

The house was very nice- the pictures didn't do it justice. It was just my husband and me so we slept in the master bedroom. The bed was very comfortable. The house was very nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The sunsets right off the porch were gorgeous every night. I went to Sanibel Island the following week and the shelling there wasn't as good as it was snorkeling right in front of this house. I also liked that there was a faucet and a shower right when you came up from the beach with warm water to rinse off. We went horseback riding on the beach and rented a pontoon boat for the day which we road out to the end of the cape with. That was a nice treat as there were even more shells there. I would recommend this house to anyone!!! On thing to note, the stairs would be too much for an elderly person, so if you're traveling with an older person this wouldn't work for you.

We had 6 people and 2 dogs and had plenty of room. The house was wonderful. We had everything we needed. The cable went out while we were there and the maintenance team was out there the same day and it was working very quickly.

There were a few things broken or missing (FYI) a curtain in queen bedroom, screen door on top deck not functional & sliding doors need work. We really loved the layout & location of property. We would definitely rent again!

Although the pictures on the website describe the property well - it falls short at the true beauty of the property. I was so pleasantly impressed that the home was better than expected.

The location is great and we would highly recommend this to famly and friends.

If there were a few updates to furniture this would be perfect vacation house. The living area furniture needs updating. Many years of use and pet friendly house..warrants new furniture!

We had a great trip with Coastal Joe Vacation Rentals in the Beachfront Home (Misbhavin). This place was great, clean, and a perfect view. The only complaint I have is watch out for the boundary stake at the bottom of the walkway. It was rebar metal and stubbed some toes on the way to the beach. Otherwise, we couldnt have asked for anything more. Next time we want to stay for more than a week as this place is amazing...

Wonderful, however, could use some new sheets to go easy on sunburned shoulders.

The air handler and something else created such a load noise that it disrupted everyone's sleep.

The septic system needs to be flushed.

It was a perfect location very nice and peaceful. The refrigerator had the cold air shut off to the bottom drawers which we did not know and also where we keep our meat. By day two we had to throw out over $50 in meat we purchased. It would have been nice if there were pans in the kitchen that did not have scratches in the teflon finish or rust on them. Very limited on what we were able to prepare in the kitchen.
