Sailor's Dream

We enjoyed our stay. 3 things though. Owner needs to install a new faucet in the kitchen. Handle is extremely awkward. The finger latch on sliding door in bathroom off kitchen is broken. One has to open from bottom or if tall enough open from top if door is completely open.
It would also be nice if the grounds around sailors dream could be cleaned up a bit.

My kids and grandkids stayed with my husband and I at this place and there was plenty of room for everyone with lots of privacy. It was a beautiful view of the beach and just an all-around wonderful experience. I hope to be back!

This was our 2nd year staying here. We love being right on the beach. Great house for families. The elevator was great for my dad who was having knee surgery when he got home. The location is perfect. Right between the grocery store and bait shop.

We had a wonderful time at Sailor's Dream. Definitely would visit again. The house was well equipped and went over and beyond my expectations.

This 5 bedroom ( not sure why it’s listed as 6) was perfect for our family . Right on the beach, with a nice shard boardwalk, we were able to enjoy the ocean within seconds. The house had an amazing back porch ( probably our favorite part) and our grandsons enjoyed a small den in the basement. They called it their boy’s only room! ( This may be considered the 6th bedroom but it was set up like a small den) Only con was that the property used keys instead of keypad locks. With 4 families and only 2 keys it was a challenge to kept track of who needed a key.
Coastal Joe Vacation was great to work with. Already recommended them to a friend!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location was perfect, wonderful view, close to water, great porch & decks, very responsive management. The only complaint would be that the beach access was challenging due to the ramp to the beach being broken. Would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely loved Sailors Dream, maybe our favorite house we’ve stayed in at CSB! Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The elevator is so nice when arriving and getting everything unloaded. Highly, highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed!

A sailors dream is a great house. Has a complete kitchen, which is well stocked. Convenient to everything at cape san blas. Plenty of room to spread out and to gather together. Great beach access

The day we got to our rental, there was a water issue, and running water would not be available for 24 hours. Coastal Joe employees not only got us another house, they literally came and helped us move our things to the new property. The water incident required them to stay late, and be available to help their tenants. They did so without question.

This house was the perfect size and location for our family of 7 to spend our family vacation. The house was perfect, very clean, and the communication was exceptional. This was our second stay at the Cape and with Costal Joe Rentals and we will definitely be back!

It was a family affair. Four families in total and all related. From Mom (who is 86), down to great-granddaughter (who is 1).
It was a wonderful experience and had plenty of room for everyone to spread.
I would recommend it to anyone.

We had a great vacation! The house has a great layout and plenty of room for our family of 11, nine months to age 60! Checkin was easy although they give you a “range” of checkin time from 4-5:30, (not exactly convenient when you’ve got groceries in your vehicle). We were told we would receive a text when it would be ready. but never did so we just showed up at 5:30. The cleaning crew must have passed us on the road because it was locked and we had to make a trip back to the office for the keys.
The house is in a wonderful location...walking distance to the Trading Post, Scallop Cove and St Joe’s Seafood Shop. The overall shape of the house was good, although not sparkling clean. Looked like the cleaning crew missed or forgot to vacuum some areas as well as wiping down the outside of the refrigerator which looked as though something spilled down it. The grill was disgusting and my husband spent a ton of time cleaning it before we were comfortable using it. There was also a pretty significant problem with ants, both in the kitchen and in the lower lever rec room. We actually bought ant traps which worked well after the first day or so. On our last night in the house, the lower level air conditioner stopped running, which wasn’t an issue for us because it happened in the middle of the night and we were leaving in the morning. I hope it was fixed promptly for the next renters.

The deck was wonderful with plenty of seating!

Dispute the cleaning issues we were happy with the house. The location made up for these problems.

We are a family of 10 that lives all over the US, we get together once a year. This is our second time at Cape San Blas and again it did not disappoint. Weather was great, veiws are great, house was great!

We stayed in Sailor's Dream October 12-17. The weather was beautiful with highs in the low 80s the whole week. We traveled with extended family consisting of 4 adults and 5 kids. The house had plenty of room for everyone to spread out and not feel like we were sleeping on top of each other. The house is laid out in such a way where 2 families could easily share the home and have plenty of privacy for each.

The beach side of the house is perfect. The house has large porches that give you a beautiful view of the ocean. You are only 50 flat feet to the beach. The beach in this location is perfect. There are no dunes or steep hills to climb.

The proximity to cape stores is perfect. The house is location 1/4 mile from a gas station/store, surfshop, and the Coastal Joe office in one direction. You are 1 mile away from another general store, liquor store, doughnut shop, ice cream shop, etc.

We cooked most nights, but there are enough on cape eating options if you would prefer.

Overall we loved our stay at Sailors Dream, we will likely be back.

We loved the one thing about this house that we wanted when we chose it: easy access to the beach. The wooden walk out is new and a very short distance to toes in the sand. The porch off the main (2nd) floor is very close to the ocean as well, and we loved that the whole house was so ocean-front!

All beds were comfy, bathrooms clean and updated, kitchen well-stocked with plenty of utensils and nice pans to cook in! The kitchen was a bonus because of the abundance of tools to cook with.

All bedrooms feel super private, which made our 3 family vacay a wonderful experience. Plenty of seats, chairs inside and out. This was one of the most convenient beach trips we have ever had...easy access to beach, outside shower, quick stairs back up to second floor and kitchen/dining room.

This house is also a rock toss from a convenience/grocery store, coffee shop, and seafood shop. You can park your car and almost never have to drive anywhere.

Overall, this is a cozy, comfy, well-lit home with an incredible view and feel of the beach and ocean. It was a blessing to find this house so close to our dates for staying. Hurricane Delta (2020)kicked up the waves Thursday and Friday and made for some fantastic wave riding on boogie boards and kayaks. We had a wonderful time, and would rent again in a minute. Sailors dream is a great house with room for family and friends. We were happy with location and amenities. One of the bedrooms could use a new mattress but that wouldn’t keep me from renting again.

We absolutely loved Sailors Dream and would rent again in a heartbeat! The spacious house and gulf front made for a lovely week full of spectacular sunsets and family fun!

Comfortable accommodations for family getaway. Wonderful setting to relax - just steps to the beach or enjoy the view and breeze from the deck. As desired a remote pet friendly location - away from the crowds. Very responsive management company.

What a great vacation! The house was perfect for our 4 family group (including 7, 4, 2 and 2 year old kids). The kitchen was well stocked and the gas stove made feeding a crowd easy. The 2 fridges were a huge plus, as were the 2 sets of washers and dryers. The porch was well furnished and made for fun evenings with friends. The board walk was great and was a big help in getting our wagon to and from the beach. Once again, the Cape delivered! As the kids said on our way out the door, "Bye beach, we'll see you next year!"

A Great Vacation! A small, pre check-in glitch was handled expertly by Coastal Joe Vacation rentals, even they had no part whatsoever in causing the glitch. We loved every part of our stay.
The house was in great shape, and very clean. A bottom floor plumbing leak occurred on our last day, but of course was not Coastal Joe's fault. It should have been an easy repair, causing only a little inconvenience to the next week's guests.
In the kitchen, the gas stove was a nice feature (and not one usually found in rentals), as we opted to dine in every night due to Covid-reduced capacity and long waits at local restaurants. The local seafood shops (St. Joe Shrimp Co.) were a blessing-and convenient. The kitchen had everything we needed, except the second tine for the hand-held electric mixer.
The website descriptions of the home were all spot-on, except that the bed in the rear third floor bedroom is in fact a king size bed and mattress, and not "2 twins or combined=king," as described on the website.
The fairly low density neighborhood made for a nice fairly low-density beach experience. We were blessed with beautiful weather all week. Thankfully, biting flies were not present, but the mosquitos would eat us up as soon as the sun went down, so come prepared.
The owner has a great house, has taken care of it nicely, and has chosen well to let Coastal Joe Vacation rentals handle it. Brittany and Mary were a pleasure to deal with. We were very pleased, and would love to stay at Sailor's Dream again.

How great it was to be back at our favorite vacation spot. This was the best house yet that we have ever stayed in. We visit sometimes twice per year and have stayed in many homes in the area. Having the elevator for use of my elderly parents was a huge plus. The kitchen was well stocked so we could easily prepare meals. The views were magnificent. Thank you for having us.
