Toes in the Sand

Happy to find a place on very short notice. We had hiccups with the rental property, but Coastal Joe’s addressed our needs promptly. We would not rent this home again, but it is not because of the rates or the age of the home. We booked very late, AC worked great, but really prefer staying where we can see the beach from the house, not just a small far away look of the ocean. Two bedrooms had comfortable beds, children’s room, need to be upgraded if used by adults. My comments left for the owner were things that could help improve this home without great expense. Our 45-year old daughter sprained her ankle while we were visiting. She missed the bottom step on the outdoor back steps so our visit was cut short. The local hospital experience was very good.

This is our 5th years returning to the cape for 2 months. Toes in the sand was a great house in a wonderful.location
It does need an update. No frying pans, old vacuumed, porch furniture needed refreshing. Coastal Joe's service was great.

We enjoyed our stay at Toes in the Sand. Great location, condo was well kept and worked well for our needs. We were disappointed when we arrived and the driveway under house was under water due to rain. We had to wade in stagnant water to get to beach every day at the bottom of the steps. My only other complaint is there needs to be more towels and wash clothes. We had one per person so we had to wash towels everyday for showering. We did enjoy our stay and would recommend Toes in the Sand. Really enjoyed screened in porch.

We had a wonderful vacation. Easy access to the beach. Loved the screened in porch with the swing. Very nice home. Had a few problems when we arrived, but the maintenance man came right out. This property floods though in the parking area and we had to park on higher ground. You have to wade through water That didn't go over that well with 3 women in the house. Also the refrigerator constantly leaks from the freezer and gets everything below, including the drawers wet. I recommend the owners buy a new one. Overall though, we had a great time and enjoyed our vacation. Love Cape San Blas. I would recommend this place to friends, except for the fact that it floods. Our last day we had to walk through water at the bottom of the steps.

Toes in the sand is just as advertised except the rooms are larger than the photos make them seem. It's spacious, updated, clean.

The folks at Coastal Joe are great to work with as well and their communications before, during, and after the stay are just right.

We had a family wedding on Cspe San Bias beach. This home was a perfect location and we enjoyed the stay very much. The place is very cozy and clean and everything you could ask for Easy access to the beach even though it’s not on the beach. It was a very quite community and very relaxing. Great breeze off the ocean on the porches. Coastal Joe’s the man agent company we’re fantastic. They were very accommodating when we needed them. Highly recommend and we will rent again when we decide to visit Port St Joe again

Great week. Very close to pickleball facility

This home was perfect. Plenty of room for everyone. Loved that the dining room table was large and the outdoor/screened porch seating was awesome. House was clean and spacious. Beach is super close and short walk to park with boardwalk. Sunrises and sunsets were amazing.

The pictures on the website were accurate. We were there the last week of October. We had 6 people in the house and had plenty of room. There was hardly anyone on the beach which was a short walk from the rental house. The off-season had just started and many business's hours had changed from when I orginally looked at them. Some restuarants on the cape were closed, but hours were not changed on websites. It's a good idea to call ahead if you are there in the off season. We had a campfire on the beach, and the stars were amazing. Riding horses on the beach was a bucket list item checked off. St Joe Shrimp has a really good grouper sandwich, and we also bought fresh shrimp and fish to put on the grill at the house. We would definitely rent from Coastal Joe Vacation Rentals again. They were timely with getting paperwork to us and keeping us informed about check-in and check-out procedures.

We were surprised to find a swamp under and surrounding the house complete with algae, tadpoles, and frogs. We had my inlaws with us and they could not park in their normal spot as they would have sank into the ground and been in 6 inches of water. Therefore, they had to park in front of the rental next to us (happily it seemed to be empty). It was fine. I know rain happens, but a heads up would have been nice. My boys did enjoy looking for creatures in the swamp, and it dried by our last day.

Sunday, my kids took a bath upstairs and my mother in law started yelling that water was coming out of the light fixture downstairs. I sent Coastal Joe's an email with the video and a text explaining that it was leaking through a light fixture and that the caulking/sealant around the drain was loose which was causing the leak. They said they would send maintenance out to look at it and it would be an easy fix. No one ever came out to fix it the entire week, so we were down a tub (which is inconvenient when you have kids).

Like I said, I love Toes in the Sand. We will most likely stay again in the future, but I was disappointed with the communication vs the actual action of Coastal Joe's. Otherwise, they are very friendly and the check in/check out process is very easy.

We arrived a few days after TS Fred blew over the cape and there was a lot of standing water. The water receded almost complex by the end of the week. Coastal Joe was kind and allowed us to come down 2 days later than our reservation because of Fred. They extended our stay two days and offered a discount for another night. Most accommodating.

Great location. Short walk to the beach. Very clean and well maintained property. Only down fall is that when it rains, the carport holds water and some of the outdoor furniture is broken. 5 stars!

Great location. Very clean. Lots of space for our party of 7, the kids loved the bunk room!

This property was perfect for our family. It was exactly as described and in a very quiet neighborhood. The beach was private and the state park was only a few miles down the road. Very nice area!

Home was very clean. Adequate parking. View of the Ocean and a quick walk to the beach was fantastic.

We went to Cape San Blas to get away from the cold in Wisconsin. Absolutely loved the area. Beach and water similar to the rest of the panhandle but far less developed and crowded. Lots or raw nature to enjoy. Bay side was fun to kayak. Gulf side has lots of shells and sand to walk on. Biggest bonus to Toes in the Sand was a bar a block away with live music most nights. Scallop Republic serves craft brews and is right on the bay with beautiful sunsets. Best eats on the cape is Peachy’s with fish and shrimp tacos. Many raw bars within 20 minute drive. Indian Pass is the best. One problem we had was lost internet for a few days. We’re told it is a remnant from hurricane Michael throughout the area.

Nice place and enjoyed my time there. Does need some lights that work in Livingroom.
