Turtle Cove

We stayed at Turtle Cove for 4 weeks with a 4 day visit with our son and his young family of 4. We had plenty of space. The house had plenty of space and is well appointed. It is across the street from Cape Palms Beach park. You can see both a sunrise and (partial) sunset from the living room or deck. Amazing.

The floor plan is the flipped plan with living area on third floor with half bath. Second floor holds 3 bedrooms and two full baths, one is en suite.
The bunk room can hold up to six kids with two twin-over-full bunk beds.

First floor has the biggest bedroom with a full hall bath. There is an elevator and a pool.

Very nice newer building home on private lot. Highly recommend if you don’t have to have beachfront.

House well equipped. Comfortable beds. Very clean and up to date. Elevator made easy loading/unloading for luggage. Great views of Gulf of America! And St Joe Bay.I will definitely try to book again for our next stay. The folks at Coastal Joe are great.

The vacation rental space was a good size and decently clean. During our stay, we saw 4 roaches, 1 beach rat, and 3 spiders. I was disappointed in how many bugs we saw considering how much the rental costs. Other than that, we enjoyed it.

We loved spending a week at Turtle Cove beach house! The house was perfect for our family. It is within walking distance to the beach and offers views of the beach and bay. The house is tastefully decorated, comfortable beds and furniture, bathrooms are very nice. It is well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, TVs in all bedrooms, elevator (which worked great for sending luggage, coolers & groceries up to the 3rd floor), a pool and outdoor shower. The only suggestions I have to improve the stay would be to add hooks in the bathrooms for hanging towels and maybe a box fan for people to use in the 1st floor bedroom which never cooled to same temperature as rest of the house. We will definitely be back to stay at Turtle Cove! Check in and out went smoothly and the house was clean when we checked in.

This is a lovely property! Across the street from public beach access/parking. Swimming pool is a bonus! The house is very comfortable with accommodating features. A/C cools the home nicely. The elevator was very accommodating for me being 8 months pregnant. The elevator would be a great convenience for elderly/handicapped individuals. It allows easy access to all the floors in the house. Elevator instructions are as followed: push the button on the wall, the elevator metal door must be closed to allow the elevator to go to each floor, if you forget to close the metal door and the house door, the elevator will not go to any other floor, once in the elevator, close both house door and metal door, push floor level button, the elevator must come to a complete stop, before trying to open metal door, this will take an additional 5-10 seconds once you’ve reached the desired floor level of your choice. Kitchen provides all necessary appliances. There are only 2 trash bags supplied. For longer stays and bigger groups bring additional trash bags, especially if you’re preparing meals. Definitely bring your own coffee, cooking oil, salt/pepper and spices. Beds are firm. The bottom floor master bedroom doesn’t get cool, as the bedrooms on the 2nd level. Bathrooms are great! There’s a huge hot water heater, so you don’t have to worry about running out of hot water for larger family groups. Bring your own blow dryer. There are plenty of towels. This again, is a great house! The location is great! I’m sure you will enjoy your stay!
