We loved the place overall. There were a few things that should be corrected /updated for future guests. 1) there were no stairs going down to the beach. We were there with 3 other couples, all in our 60’s, and it was difficult getting down the steep sandy slope to the beach. This should be fixed. 2) the TVs in the main living room and the master are not smart TVs so we could not watch Netflix or other apps to get movies. For $6,300 a week, we would expect up to date accommodations with the entertainment system. Other than that, the view and house were amazing! Thanks.

We truly appreciate your feedback regarding the beach access and entertainment system. I wanted to share a quick update: We’ve recently upgraded the bedroom TVs to smart TVs so guests can now easily access Netflix and other streaming apps.
As for the beach access, the owner has been actively working on this and had applied for a permit to build a proper walkway during the fall/winter. Unfortunately, they ran into an unexpected complication in the permitting process, but we’re continuing to work toward a solution and are committed to making this improvement as soon as we're able to move forward.

We were concerned with some previous reviews within the last year concerned about cleanliness but I couldn't find a thing to complain about. The rental was spacious and clean. The bluetooth built-in wall speakers really enhanced the weekend. The $250 'rebate' used for beach rental is convenient except for the mandatory $30 delivery fee. We were able to grab 6 chairs and a walmart umbrella. The beach was empty for us every day, since we travelled just prior to season. The Cape is peaceful and gorgeous.

The house was located perfectly on the beach. The proximity to the beach was amazing, and the deck and chairs on the deck were absolutely perfect additions to the location. Based upon how the house is listed and the amenities it really didn't live up to expectations. Really it was only a 2 1/2 bath and the jack and jill bathrooms locked very weird and no privacy kinda for the person taking a shower. The 4th bedroom really wasn't a official bedroom. The side doors did not lock at all. The AC never really worked or cooled properly while there and the upper windows needed blinds or something.

The house is perfectly laid out on the Matterport (virtual tour) that is on the listing. That way you are able to see exactly what you are renting and make sure that the layout will work for your group. This home does have 4 bathrooms including the one that is outside the property. The doors to the bathroom are pocket doors that have the capability to lock like any normal door so that you still get the privacy that you need when showering. The A/C was reported and fixed. If there were any further issues with it, we would have been happy to address if we would have known. The side doors in the bedrooms do indeed lock. You have to lift on the handle like an Anderson door lock. We truly value our guest feedback!

The house itself was beautiful. The room setup worked well for our group, and the location to the beach is perfect. The house was furnished well. The only problem we faced was the air conditioning was down for the first two nights of our trip and we had two young kids trying to sleep when the house was 81 degrees inside. The first maintenance technician that was sent was no help at all. When they sent an HVAC technician, he got the air running. Still, he didn't fix the underlying issue of the door/window sensors working with the thermostat, which meant when we opened a door, it reset the thermostat to factory setting, and without a PIN, we could not operate it. The next time the HVAC technician came out, he disconnected the window/door sensors completely until they could figure out how to hook them up properly, and it worked for the remainder of the trip. Had we not had this issue, our trip would have been excellent.

Thank you for your feedback. If windows or doors are left open continuously, then the thermostat will shut off. This wouldn't have happened with someone just going in and out the door.

This house is absolutely beautiful! We loved that there were 3 king sized beds. The bunk room on the 2nd floor was a great place for the kids to hang out. The rental company was very attentive and responded quickly to our requests. The house is in a great location for sunsets on the deck. It is also directly across from the store, which is very convenient.

Overall our stay was nice. Location is ideal. The house is older and is nice overall. However, the cleanliness and amenities need improvement. (I'm listing them so the property management and owner will be address.) We found toothpaste spittle on the faucets in the master, cutip in draw, dirt, dust and hair in drawers for your cloths and the cabinet over the vanity were filthy. The black metal headboard was very dusty, there was dark unknown splatter on the nightstand lamp and wall and one of the living room windows has mold growing in between the glass. The kitchen pans are very worn and have the Teflon coating coming off. (health issue). We found one lamp with light bulb out and a set of wall plugs in the master that do not work. Our standards are pretty high and we usually stay in properties that are considered a "Premier Host."
Despite these issues, the location and overall property was nice. More attention needs to be given to details and maintenance by both property manager and owner.
Their VRBO listing needs work. I asked if there was a washer because the listing only lists a dryer. It does have a stackable washer dryer combo... although it's located between the kitchen and living room and the washer ridiculously noisy.
The General Store across the street is convenient and has most things you would need.
The quality of the furniture was good. The outside faucet to rinse your feet and (3) outside showers and bathroom locations were very nice.
Overall, I would recommend the property with more attention to the details.

What you described does not meet the standard we aim to provide. In response, we have made a change to our cleaning team to ensure the home receives the level of attention to detail it deserves moving forward.The homeowner has since purchased new pots and pans, and they are currently working on replacing the washer and dryer to improve that experience as well. Regarding the outlets in the bedrooms, they are wired so that the wall plugs are controlled by the light switch, which must be turned on for them to function. Your feedback is truly valuable, and we appreciate your recommendation despite these concerns. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much-improved experience in the future.
