The average high temperature in December on Cape San Blas is 67, with the lows dipping into the mid to high 50’s. While December is one of the cooler months of the year on Cape San Blas, it is still very pleasant, with a good amount of sun, and some days rising into the 70’s. For anyone that lives further north, a 60 to 70 degree day in the winter is dreamy! And, the beaches and restaurants are much quieter than in the spring and summer months.

Forgotten Coast Festival of Trees 

Port St Joe - Joe Center for the Arts

 

November 18 - December 10, 2022

 

Located at the Joe Center for the Arts, this month-long festival is an annual celebration of Christmas trees and holiday displays. The Festival kicks off the 2022 season with an opening reception and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus on November 18th, and there are activities every week through December 10th. Throughout November and December, enjoy a variety of art classes from cookie decorating to spin art Christmas cards and snowman painting, as well as visits with Santa, live music and more. This is an annual Forgotten Coast festival you will not want to miss if you’re visiting during this time of year!

Christmas in the Garden 

Port St Joe - PSJ Garden Center

 

December 10, 2022 – 9am to 2pm 

 

This annual event held by the Port St Joe Garden Club is a festive way to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season. The event is free and there are handmade gifts, baked goods, and holiday décor available for purchase. Proceeds will benefit children’s programs at the Corinne Costin Gibson Memorial Public Library. Come to the Port St Joe Garden Center, and get into the Christmas spirit by shopping for gifts for loved ones, pick up a commemorative ornament, and enjoy some delicious baked goods. A professional photographer will be available to capture family holiday portraits in front of the decorated gazebo. Fun for all!

Junior League of PSJ Presents the Nutcracker 

Port St Joe – Centennial Building 

 

December 4th and 5th at 2pm 

Enjoy everyone's favorite holiday tale, The Nutcracker, presented by the Junior League of Port. St. Joe. The Junior League has been presenting this Christmas classic every year since 2015. The Nutcracker story is told using Tchaikovsky’s music, pantomime, and dance. The show is one hour long with free admission for all children. 

Christmas on the Coast – Holiday Parade 

Port St Joe – Reid Avenue 

 

December 10th 2022 - 6pm 

 

Join us for the Annual Christmas on the Coast Parade on Reid Avenue in downtown Port St. Joe on Saturday, December 10, 2022. Judging of the floats begins at 5:00 PM ET with the following categories: Schools & Non-Profit, Family & Friends, Business, and Faith-Based. The parade begins at 6:00 PM ET. After the parade, take the little ones to visit Santa in the Gazebo next to City Hall. We look forward to seeing you at this annual holiday tradition!

Christmas Carols at the Cape San Blas Lighthouse 

Cape San Blas – George Core Park 

 

TBD 2022 5-6pm 

 

Gather around the Cape San Blas Lighthouse at George Core Park for a fun evening of caroling. This annual Forgotten Coast tradition is a great way to get in the Christmas spirit! In addition, there will be a Ukulele Band playing festive music and Josie’s Joe Coffee Truck. Bring a blanket or jacket to keep warm!
